Jennifer Lopez and Bradley Coope
Jennifer Lopez and Bradley Cooper have sparked the rumor mill, after they went out to dinner together a few days ago. The pair was spotted at Per Se, a restaurant located at Columbus Circle in New York City.
Any hint of romance has been denied by the actor’s reps, their dinner date has been explained away by saying that they were simply discussing a future “project,” But according to TMZ sources the dinner was “romantic” and intimate. And The New York Post has reported that the couple were “heavily flirting” with each other over dinner.
Both are fairly recently single; Lopez split from husband Marc Anthony after seven years of marriage in July, Cooper and Renee Zellweger announced their split after two years together in March. A simple two hour dinner together has well and truly triggered a great deal of speculation of whether they were up to more than just business.
Habib Faisal to direct for Yash Raj Films
After directing the feel-good film Do Dooni Chaar, which received a lot of appreciation from one and all, writer-director Habib Faisal is now all set to direct a film for Yash Raj Films (YRF).

Habib, it may be recalled has been closely associated with YRF in the capacity of a writer, on various films such as Ta Ra Rum Pum, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, Band Baaja Baaraat and even the forthcoming flick Ladies v/s Ricky Bahl.
YRF’s official spokesperson confirmed the news and said that further details of the project will be announced in due course of time.
Did YRF first offer Ek Tha Tiger to Shah Rukh Khan?

Yash Raj Films probably made one of the biggest announcements last week when they signed Salman Khan along with Katrina Kaif for Kabir Khan’s directorial venture Ek Tha Tiger. The news was indeed big as it is the first time Salman is working with Yash Raj Films.
However, not many people know that the same film had earlier been offered to YRF favourite and Salman’s rival Shah Rukh Khan who unfortunately couldn’t take it up due to date issues. King Khan in a recent interview has confirmed the same and has said that he doesn’t have any regrets that YRF have now gone ahead and signed Salman for the project. However, it remains to be seen if Sallu was aware of this fact before signing the project.
London: Construction of Olympic stadium for 2012 complete
Construction work at the London 2012 Olympic Stadium came to an end on Tuesday as the last piece of turf was laid in the pitch. The venue, which seats 80,000 spectators, took just under three years to build from start to finish at a cost of £486 million. More than 5,250 people have worked on the project.
The final touch will be applied later this year when the running track s top surface will be put on. London 2012 chief Sebastian Coe laid the final piece of turf along with Namibian sprinting great Frankie Fredericks. Some 360 rolls of turf were needed to cover the 9,000-square meter infield area. The two-tier bowl in Stratford, east London, will host the opening and closing ceremonies as well as the athletics track and field events. After the Games have finished, English Premier League football side West Ham United will take it over, moving from their Upton Park home.
Kelly Osbourne is a Material Girl
Kelly Osbourne, daughter of Ozzy Osbourne has teamed up with Madonna and her daughter, Lola Leon. Kelly is the face of the new campaign for Madonna and Lola’s label, Material Girl. Kelly says she’s pumped about the project and loves the way it turned out.
“It’s such an honor to be a part of this campaign and it was an amazing experience to work with Madonna and Lola. Material Girl is incredible because it’s high fashion but it’s also accessible to anyone who shops at Macy’s.”
Madonna praised Kelly too;
“Kelly represents a true Material Girl. She is edgy, cool and has a unique sense of style that Lola and I love.”
The campaign was shot by photographer Brooke Nipar and was inspired by New York’s East Village during the ‘80’s.
Priyadarshan is set to make film on subject of AIDS with Aamir Khan
Aamir Khan will be doing a stark real-time film on AIDS with the prolific Priyadarshan, probably at the end of the year. Priyan who has worked with the other two Khan superstars, Shah Rukh and Salman, met Aamir who has given his verbal approval for the project.
Priyan’s other Hindi project Tezz is now on hold. The large-budget action thriller featuring Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor, Sunil Shetty, Kangna Ranaut, Tusshar Kapoor and Zayed Khan is waiting for the sun to shine on its fate…quite literally. The makers are waiting for the sun to come out in Scotland where the rest of the film is to be shot.
Explains Priyan, “About 40 percent of the film remains to be shot. I will complete it in one stretch in Scotland. But we cannot shoot it before summer when the sun comes out. I hope to complete and release Tezz by year-end.”
Provided Devgn has the dates.
“So for now I’m back in Kerala writing a Malayalam film. It a comedy with my favourite actor Mohanlal called The Arab Camel & Madhavan Nair to be shot in Abu Dhabi,” informs Priyan.
The comedy will also be made in Hindi.
Abu Dhabi has a large Malyali population. Says Priyan, “Even the traffic cops and taxi drivers in Abu Dhabi speak Malayalam. I haven’t directed a Malayalam film in seven years, so I’m very excited.”
For now Priyan has gone back to Kerala and his roots in Malayalam cinema. And is very happy about it.
Says the director, “I haven’t gone to Mumbai for three months. I was getting very uncomfortable with what was required of me in Mumbai. Now I’ll return only to complete Tezz and to direct the AIDS film with Aamir Khan.”
Aamir has heard and liked Priyan’s idea. Says the director, “I met Aamir and narrated my idea. He loved it. I now need to complete the script.”
The film on AIDS will have no songs, no comedy and no commercial trappings at all. It’s likely to be produced by Aamir.
In fact the only comedy that Priyan is committed to doing is the sequel to Malaamal Weekly for Percept Pictures. Entitled Malaamal Robbery it will be about a group of people robbing a bank only to discover it has no money.
“But no more comedies like De Dana Dan for me,” promises Priyadarshan.
"Patiala House is not a comedy & I didn’t want to pitch it as one" – Nikhil Advani

Nikhil Advani had a major dispute with the rest of his team over the content of the first trailer of Patiala House. The dispute caused a critical delay in getting the trailer ready to be attached to Tees Maar Khan (TMK), as per plan. Consequently, the trailer couldn’t make it to all the theatres in Mumbai.
When Nikhil Advani visited a suburban theatre to watch TMK on Friday, it wasn’t only because he wanted to check out his own film’s hero’s latest offering. Nikhil wanted to see the first trailer of his own film Patiala House that was attached to TMK.
To his shock the trailer of Patiala House was missing from the film since it couldn’t be attached in time to all the prints of TMK.
Laughs Nikhil joylessly, “All the prints of the trailers for the Dolby theatres couldn’t be ready in time. So only about 70 percent of the Dolby theatres could show the trailer of Patiala House with Tees Maar Khan. Unfortunately, I landed up in one of the theatres that didn’t have my trailer attached to the film. Can you imagine? The world saw it. I couldn’t.”
Was it a last-minute decision to peg the Patiala House trailer to TMK?
Explains Nikhil, “No no. We had decided long ago to attach our first trailer to Tees Maar Khan. Akshay is a co-producer on both projects. Since Patiala is not a comedy we decided we’d wait for the release of TMK before starting the campaign.”
Then Nikhil blurts out, “All the Dolby prints of the trailer couldn’t be ready because there was some problem over what to put in the trailer.”
Says Nikhil, “All I’ll say is, there was some dispute over the content. Patiala House is not a comedy and I didn’t want to pitch it as a comedy. My biggest compliment was when Rishi Kapoor (who plays Akshay’s father) called up to say, ‘You’ve hit a sixer with your first trailer.’”
Akshay Kumar admits Patiala House takes him into another mood away from the comic. “There is only some black humour in Patiala House. Otherwise it’s a very dramatic story of a Sikh father who thinks it’s unpatriotic of his British-Indian son to play cricket for the British team against India. Yes, there were creative differences over what the first trailer should look like. I am not just the actor on the project. I am the producer as well.”
In brief, Akshay will have his say on what goes into the trailer.
Madhuri Dixit quietly shoots an ad; will also sign movie soon
The ovation is so irresistible especially when you happen to be Madhuri Dixit. To no one’s surprise, she’s back in the thick of things shooting not only for the reality show that brought her to India this time, but also an endorsement for which she has apparently been paid an unheard-of price.
Madhuri has now been signed on for a number of endorsements in India. One of them was shot last week at a suburban studio. According to reliable sources, Madhuri and her old faithful business manager Rakesh Nath (Rikku) have finalized the exiled Diva for at least three other endorsements that would keep Madhuti busy for a good part of January.
When contacted Rikku who has looked after Madhuri’s career from the start admits Madhuri’s endorsement plans. “She is at this very moment shooting for an endorsement campaign for Hindustan Lever product. Other endorsements are being finalized. Meetings are on.”
The buzz in the film industry is that Madhuri is determined to make a comeback into movies.
Says a source, “The reality show, then the endorsements are stepping stones to a movie comeback. When she did Yash Raj Films’ Aaja Nachle three years ago, the project backfired because it relied solely on her charisma. The film was about saving a dying theatre company. It wasn’t about saving the Taj Mahal. So no one really cared. This time Madhuri is determined to get her movie comeback right. She’s here in Mumbai for the long haul. The reality show and endorsements are teaser trailers. Madhuri will sign a big film soon.”
Apparently, Yashraj Films, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Karan Johar and UTV have come up with tempting offers. Madhuri is on the verge of signing one of these.
Says Rikku, “You’re right. She has got 4-5 very good offers. She will definitely do another film soon. But this time we have to be very careful. I’ve worked with other actresses. But Madhuriji is Madhuriji.”
The diva seems more than happy keeping busy at home away from her adopted home. Says Madhuri, “I’m having a ball. I am so glad people have like me on ‘Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa’. I am enjoying this busy phase before the camera.”
Her sons are expected to join her this week for their Christmas holidays. “I can’t wait to see them,” Madhuri says happily before rushing for her next shot.
Anurag Basu confirms Telugu actress Ileana D’Cruz opposite Ranbir in Barfee

The crucial and much-delayed casting of the second heroine opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Anurag Basu’s Barfee is finally done.
It’s Telugu star Ileana D’Cruz who starred in the blockbusters Pokiri and Kick who will play the other female lead opposite Ranbir in Barfee. For a while it was Asin, the original choice for the role who was almost back in the project. Apparently, the price factor didn’t work out.
That’s when Anurag Basu who has an eye for new talent (he discovered Kangna Ranaut) happened to see Ileana’s photographs.
Says a source, “Anurag showed the pics to Ranbir Kapoor who felt Ileana had the same delicacy and grace as Deepika Padukone. He immediately approved of Ileana. Things were finalized within days. Anurag met Ileana and her mother and explained the role in Barfee and also that Priyanka Chopra plays the other part.”
While Siddharth Roy Kapoor of UTV who are producing Barfee said the other female lead in Barfee will be announced shortly, Anurag Basu confirmed Ileana’s presence in the film.
Interestingly Ileana is the third South Indian actress after Asin and Deepika to be offered the same role in Barfee. Anurag intends to put Ileana through rigorous voice and diction coaching before facing the camera.
Says a source, “Since Ranbir plays mute and Priyanka plays a woman often lapsing into incoherence, it is very important that Ileana speak clear and correct Hindi. That was the prerequisite for her signing Barfee.”
Angelina Jolie Reaches out to Bosnian Critics
December 12, 2010 by Trend PK

Angelina Jolie finally made a move to issue a statement regarding the constant rumors of her against some critics in Bosnia where she is supposed to shoot the first film she’ll be directing. The said Bosnian critics have tried their best to block the Oscar winner from shooting the film on their country because of its complicated plot.
Angelina, on the other hand, said that there is only person who is against the film but that the majority of the citizens, the cast of the movie, the president, and the prime minister have been very supportive of her project.
The ruckus started when a group of female victims became upset after they’ve learned that Jolie’s still untitled film will be about the story of a Bosnian Muslim woman who fell in love with the Serbian solder who raped her during the conflict of the 1990s.
Even though this news proved to be nothing but just a rumor, it caused enough stirrings that the Bosnian minister decided not to issue a film permit, saying that the film does not have enough paperwork. This did not last, however, because the permit was reissued a few days later.
Jolie announced that she will spare time to talk to the Bosnian critics in person to smoothen out the problem.
