Four injured in Quetta hand grenade attack

QUETTA: At least four people are reported hurt in a hand grenade attack at Double Road of the city, TrendPK reported on Wednesday.

The injured people are being shifted to a hospital for treatment.

Two vehicles are reported damaged in the incident.

Mach: Quetta Express attacked, 5 killed, 18 injured

At least 5 passangers were killed and 18 were injured when miscreants opened fire at Quetta Express near Mach city of Balochistan. The train was on its way to Quetta.

The rescue teams have reached the site and started to move the patients to hospital for medical treatment.

The incidents of exploding railway tracks have been occurred in Balochistan but firing shots at running train was a rare occurrence.

Quetta: Army Aviations Trainer Plane Crashes, 2 killed

Quetta, trendpk: A trainer plane of Army Aviation crashed near Quetta, killing its pilot and co-pilot.

According to reports, the Mushhaq trainer plane of Army Aviation was heading towards Quetta from Zhob when it crashed into mountains near Quetta. As per initial reports, the plane crashed due to some technical fault, however, an investigation team would be constituted soon to probe the real cause of crash.

‘US Army in Balochistan not on permanent basis’

ISLAMABAD: The United States has said on Saturday that news regarding the presence of American representative in the core head quarter of Pakistan Army in Quetta was not true, terming its permanent representation in Quetta as ‘unnecessary’.

The statement issued from American Consulate said that the visits of American representatives in Balochistan were a routine job after the cooperation made by Pakistan Army and ISAF in Afghanistan in anti-terrorism campaign in the region. ISAF does every activity near Pak-Afghan border with the cooperation of Pakistan Army, it added.

At least ten people including three children and two women injured when a moderate earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale shook Quetta and its surrounding areas on Friday.

4.5 magnitude earthquake jolts Quetta

QUETTA: A moderate earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter Scale shook Quetta and its surrounding areas, Chief Meteorologist Muhammad Riaz said Friday.

Thirteen people wounded who have been taken to the Civil Hospital Quetta.

The quake epicenter was approximately 70 kilometers northeast of Quetta.
