“The Princess and the Frog’’ earned a big wet kiss from audiences as the Disney animated musical leaped to No. 1 with $25 million in its first weekend of nationwide release, according to studio estimates.
“The Blind Side’’ slipped to second-place with $15.5 million, raising its total to $150.2 million. “New Moon’’ has waned to the No. 4 spot with an $8 million weekend, raising its domestic haul to $267.4 million. Warner Bros. also had the No. 3 film with a $9.1 million debut for Clint Eastwood’s Nelson Mandela saga, “Invictus.’
