England to lose coach Hills to Australia during Ashes

MELBOURNE: England batting coach Dene Hills will return home to join the Australian coaching group as an analyst during the Ashes in a coup for the hosts.
“We are just discussing with England the exact starting date,” a team spokesman said. “‘Analyst’ is the official title. He’s signed a contract and he wants to come home.”
Hills was appointed by England in Aug. 2008 and helped the team plot Australia’s downfall in last year’s Ashes campaign.
He is unable to join the Australian team until after the second test in Adelaide in December, England media reports said.
The 40-year-old Hills, widely regarded as one of Australia’s finest batsmen to never break into the national side, spent 10 seasons as mainly a top-order batsman for Tasmania from 1991-2001 before taking coaching roles with the state and national teams.

The Transformers beauty, who is regarded as one of the world’s sexiest women insists she can’t don “interesting” outfits, Contactmusic reported.
“If you wear anything interesting, you become instantly noticeable. I have this gorgeous Dolce and Gabbana white trench coat for winter, but I can’t wear it without drawing attention to myself. And I try to hide. I want to be unseen,” Fox said.
The 23-year-old star admits that she is a big fan of singer of Rated-R superstar Rihanna but could not dare to dress-up like that.
“It would be nice to be like Rihanna and go to Burger King in six-inch heels and a mini-dress. It’s admirable. But I don’t have the motivation. Muammar Gaddafi has appealed for jihad against Switzerland, long regarded as one of the most peaceful nations in the world.
The Libyan leader’s call for a holy war was, he said, a response to a Swiss referendum in November to ban the construction of minarets on mosques. It is the low point in a relationship that has been deteriorating since 2008 when Col Gaddafi’s son Hannibal was briefly detained in Geneva after allegedly beating his servants. “Any Muslim in any part of the world who works with Switzerland is an apostate, is against (the Prophet) Muhammad, God and the Quran,” Colonel Gaddafi said at a rally broadcast on television.

PCB recalls paceman Sami for Australia tour
KARACHI : Pakistan paceman Mohammad Sami was Tuesday recalled for the tour of Australia following team management’s request for an additional fast bowler, giving him a chance to revive a dwindling career.
“The selection committee has agreed to send Sami as reinforcement player to join the Pakistan team in Australia,” a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) statement said.
The addition of Sami was requested to help ease the burden on the team’s fast-bowlers in what is expected to be a demanding tour in Australia, the statement added.
He will supplement an attack featuring Umar Gul, Mohammad Asif, Mohammad Aamer and Abdur Rauf.
The 28-year-old right-arm fast bowler played the last of his 33 Tests against India at Bangalore in December 2007 before he was sidelined for poor form.
He then joined the unofficial Indian Cricket League (ICL) and was banned from international cricket in early 2008.
Earlier this year all 23 Pakistan players who joined the ICL suspended their contracts in India and were forgiven by the PCB.
Sami has so far taken 81 wickets in 33 Tests, and a further 118 in 83 one-day internationals.
He has shown recent good form in country’s domestic cricket with 30 wickets.
“I am very happy and am confident of making the most of this chance to resurrect my career,” said Sami, widely regarded as one of the most talented bowlers to not turn his potential into performances.
Pakistan plays the first of three Tests against Australia at Melbourne from December 26. They will also play five one-day internationals and a Twenty20 on the tour.

2 Taliban commanders die in armed clash

WANA, Pakistan: Two influential Taliban commanders were killed in armed clash erupted in two groups of the banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) when key leaders gathered to choose successor of Taliban supremo Baitullah Mehsud.
Reportedly, a meeting of five key Taliban leaders was underway at an area between South and North Waziristan Agency when Taliban commanders disputed each other and exchanged hot words over the issue of choosing Baitullah Mehsud’s successor after his mysterious death.
As a result commander Wali Urrehman opened fire on Hakimullah Mehsud, the spokesman of TTP, leaving him dead on the spot. In the clash Wali Urrehman was also killed by his rivals, ARY NEWS correspondent reported.
Hakimullah, who controls fighters in the Orakzai, Kurram and Khyber tribal regions, is regarded as one of the leading contenders to replace Baitullah Mehsud.
The holding of meeting by Taliban leaders also proved true the reports that Taliban supremo Baitullah Mehsud has been killed in the US done attack among his wife, which the fellow commanders refuted.
Interior Minister Rehman Malik said that government has received reports that shooting broke out between two rivals for the leadership of the Pakistani Taliban.
“’The infighting was between Wali-ur-Rehman and Hakimullah Mehsud,” Malik told a private news TV. “We have information that one of them has been killed. Who was killed we will be able to say later after confirming.”
Earlier, Hakimullah Mehsud, while refuting the reports has said the Taliban will release a video of Baitullah Mehsud.
He said Baitullah Mehsud was alive and still holding the command of Taliban fighters. “He has been safe at an undisclosed place,” Hakimullah said.
He promised to release a recorded video of Mehsud within two to three days.
