Faisalabad: Industrialists refuse to follow gas load-management schedule
Industrialists and factory
owners of Faisalabad have categorically refused to follow the new gas load-management plan of Sui Northern Ga s Pipelines Limited and have started the regular work at all factories , trendpk.Com reported on Saturday. However gas suplly has been reduced by 70-80% in the city.
Industrialists are of the view that the government had announced a two-day off of gas supply but now the gas companies are not following the agreed schedule. 6 giants of the textile industry have said that if the present 3-day off schedule continues till the next week then they would initiate a movement against the decision after Ashura-e Muharram. Industrialists have also said that only Punjab is being hit by cutting gas supply while no factorty has been closed in any other province.

All public and private schools, offices, markets and other institutes are open.
A vast majority of those who returned to their native homes to celebrate Eid with their families have returned to their respective cities.

Anti-Tobacco organisation upset with Ajay Devgn for smoking in public
Ajay Devgn has got himself in some sticky situation. Ajay has been accused of smoking in public for the second time which has provoked an anti tobacco organisation to take action against the star.
While shooting for Golmaal 3 in Goa, Ajay was apparently caught by media smoking in a public place. This has earned him the wrath of the National Organisation for Tobacco Eradication (NOTE) who are hell bent on making sure that Ajay pays heavily for his offence. Activist shareholder increases offer for movie studio to $7 a share from $6Billionaire activist shareholder Carl Icahn on Thursday said he raised his hostile offer for Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. (LGF-N7.180.294.21%) to $7 (U.S.) a share from $6 a share.
He said he also intends to replace the Lions Gate board with his own slate of nominees. Mr. Icahn said the offering period will expire on May 14.
Lions Gate had no immediate comment. The studio’s shares rose more than 8 per cent to $6.90 in after-hours trade after closing at $6.37 during the regular session.
In a letter to Lions Gate shareholders, Mr. Icahn said he decided to raise his offer price not because he believed $6 was inadequate but because he felt it was necessary to make every effort to protect his current investment in Lions Gate.
βWe do not feel comfortable that existing management is the right team to guide Lions Gate through this difficult period,β he said in the letter.

NEW DELHI: Her prospective groom is facing allegations of marrying and dumping a woman, but Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza backed Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik on the matter, saying that she and her family have known the truth all along.
Although she did not mention Shoaib directly, Sania”s latest twitter feed clearly supported her husband-to-be, who has been accused of cheating a Hyderabadi girl Ayesha Siddiqui after a telephonic nikah.
“Me and my family know what the truth is, we”ve known it all along and we have confidence in god”s justice,” Sania said.
The 24-year-old has been flayed by the Shiv Sena and some other right wing parties for deciding to marry the Pakistani all-rounder.
