Karachi, Pakistan News: Interior Minister Rehman Malik has confirmed
the, Broke the other day, regarding the death of Hakeemullah Mehsud today.
The minister said that Hakeemullah has reached his logical end. He ruled out any plans vis-a-vis talks with the Taliban, saying that talks could be initiated if they lay down arms and surrender. Talking to media after attending the AD&SJ court in Peshawar, Rehman said that he also has the news about the death of Qari Hussain. He noted, “Fazaullah is not in our custody, nor anything has been concealed from media”. Replying to a question, the minister said that he respected the judiciary, but parried the question regarding his cases. He assured that targeted killing would not occur in Karachi any more.

Islamabad, Pakistan News: Absolving the incumbent government of all the charges regarding power crisis facing the country, Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that the said crisis is being inherited from the previous regime.
Talking to media in Islamabad, the Premier said that the power shortage would not be addressed through finance but an authentic strategy is needed, adding that he did not love setting dates like Raja Parvez Ashraf, Federal Minister for Water and Power.
PM said that the power supply is being disrupted due to desilting drive initiated across the country and warned that the next crisis that would hit the country would be water shortage. The PM said that his government has been elected for five year term, posing a question that why his government being put to accountability only after passage of a year and half.
He said his party would not vie for next polls if it remained unable to fulfil its promises made with the public

Rehman Malik Confirms Karachi Blast Was Not Suicide Attack
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan News: Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that all the evidences collected in connection with the Ahsura blast showed that it was not a suicide blast.
The minister added that the culprits involved in Karachi carnage have had criminal record. Briefing the media after a high level meeting in Islamabad, the minister said the police and Rnagers personnel would jointly patrol Karachi to avert target killings, saying that all out efforts were being made to stop such killings.
He noted that high level committee has been formed which would investigate such acts, adding that public was also becoming victim in such cases. The minister said that strict action would be taken against the suspects of Karachi mayhem, and added that the probe report would be completed within two or three days in this regard. Rehman said that the terrorists were out to disrupt peace in the country.
