LAHORE: Governor Punjab Salman Taseer Sunday reiterating Pakistan People’s Party’s stance said no one will succumb to pressure from any side and that no member of his party will resign despite allegations.
Talking to media, Salman Taseer said the democracy will stop to function if people indulged in interfering in each others affairs.
“We have struggled hard for the cause of democracy,” he said, adding, “and now I have become the biggest terrorist just because a number of false cases have been built against me.”
Salman Taseer said justice should not only be for PPP but also for the 160 million people of the country.
NRO Beneficiaries Should Resign: PML-N
Lahore, Pakistan News: PML-N has demanded the resignations from the ministers who were benefited from the NRO; however, it is better President Zardari decide himself about his future.
Talking to media in Lahore after the meeting of party’s central leadership, Ahsan Iqbal said that the people included in NRO list should resign and defend the allegations. He said that PML-N strongly honors rule of law. He claimed that no PML-N leader was benefited from NRO.
Ghuas Ali Shah said that democratic system should not be derailed in any case and he vowed to strive hard to strengthen the parliamentary democracy. Iqbal Zafar Jhagra said that war on terror was imposed on Pakistan while Sardar Yaqoob Nasir said that angry Baloch leaders are our brothers.

SRINAGAR: Chief Minister of held Kashmir Omar Abdullah has threatened to resign after PDP member accused him of involvement in sex scandal.
CM Omar has declared the accusations baseless and said he will tender his resignation to the governor.
