DUBAI: After seeing clash like situation between the institutes and the resolution passed for his arrest in the Senate, former president Pervez Mushrraf has postponed his decision of returning back to Pakistan, TrendPK reported on Friday.
The All Pakistan Muslim League’s (APML) leader Barrister Saif said this day during his address in a press conference in Dubai that the Core Committee of the party has stressed over the former president that under the prevailing situation he should postpone his return to the country. TrendPK
Shahbaz opposes new provinces on ethnic basis
LAHORE: Punjab’s Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif says he is not against new provinces, adding they should be formed on administrative grounds.
Speaking to newsmen on his return from a private visit to London today, Sharif opposed the idea of creation of new provinces on the ethnic basis. He, however, supported the establishment of more provinces on administrative basis. TrendPK
Preity Zinta to star in Jai Ramji; will play a gangster in the film
Preity Zinta will be seen on the big screen after a long hiatus. The actress will be playing a gangster in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Jai Ramji. Though currently Preity has her hands full with the on going IPL and her TV show Guinness World Records, Preity is also gearing up for her return to the silver screen.
Jai Ramji will be a gangster film, set in eastern UP. When we reported details of the film last month, the female lead was yet to be finalised. But now, Preity has been roped in for the film. Preity, who has heard the script and has agreed to do it, is yet to sign on the dotted line though. Preity will be a part of the gang, which includes actors such as Arjun Rampal, Irrfan Khan and Randeep Hooda.
The film is said to go on floors in July and should be wrapped up by end of this year.
Australian Selectors Facing Tough Call, Australians Demanding Shane Warne Return
After the draw of first test match and losing the 2nd test match Australian selection committee is facing problems in selecting team. Simon Katich is injured and to find his replacement is not an easy task.
Australian bowling was not successful in the first two test matches. Marcus North, Xavier Doherty, Doug Bollinger and Peter Siddle ar still waiting for their selection.
Australian were not able to get wickets of England batsmen and the scored more then 1,000 runs in two consecutive innings of two test matches and lost only 6 wickets all together. Australian captain R Pointing is very desperate after the defeat and he said that he donot want to become an Australian captain with three Ashes defeats.
Australia has lost 2005 and 2009 Ashes series under the captaincy of Ponting. In 2010-11 Ashes series Australia has lost a test match and this is a real concern for Ponting. Spinners are also not favoring Australians and after the failure of two test matches Australian people are demanding the come back of Shane Warne. Shane Warne is in England and he said that it is a nice thing that people still love him. While answering his return to international cricket he said that the demand of his return is flattering him and it is just honorable thing for him.

KABUL: A deal to open new export markets for Afghan products, by creating a tax-free transit corridor to India through Pakistan, is lopsided and may cement Islamabad’s resented grip on the Afghan economy, traders and officials say.
The U.S.-sponsored transit agreement which comes into effect next year allows Afghan trucks to drive tax free across Pakistan up to the Indian border with products for sale there — but they cannot load up with Indian exports for the return journey.
Instead, Afghan traders must buy products made in or shipped into Pakistan, ensuring Pakistani merchants do not lose their foothold in a market worth billions of dollars in annual sales.

South African captain Graeme Smith capped his return after suffering injury with a solid 92 to help his team reach 274-6 against Pakistan in the fourth day-night international here on Friday.
Smith missed his ninth one-day century by just eight runs after winning the toss and electing to bat, lifting South African innings with a 94-run stand with AB de Villiers (49) on a flat Duba Stadium pitch.
Smith, who injured his left hand during South Africa’s eight wicket win in the first one-day in Abu Dhabi last week, hit nine boundaries during his 105-ball innings, before he was trapped leg-before in the 31st over.

SC to resume hearing of judges restoration case today
A seventeen member bench of Supreme Court will today hear the suo motu notice of news regarding the return of executive order for restoration of judges.
In the previous hearing, court directed the Attorney General to get a written confirmation from government and also clarified that no government official can withdraw the notification for restoration of judges. If anything of such sort happens, it would be just as if the constitution has been broken and according to article 6, a case of hypocrisy can be registered. Entry into the courtroom will be only through special passes.

Salman Butt was performing as captain of Pakistan team during the tour of England. He was now suspended by ICC for the allegations of match fixing. Salman Butt appealed against the suspension and his appeal will be heard on 30th and 31 October. Due to his suspension Pakistan announced new test captain. Lets hope he will perform well for Pakistan team.
