Ricky Gervais has another TV sitcom in the pipeline called “Life’s Too Short”, Johnny Depp has signed up for a spot on the show. Gervais confirmed the news himself by writing on his blog “This Side of The Truth“. But he also confirms the rumor that Jerry Seinfeld will take part is just that, a rumor;
“The Depp bit is true. The Seinfeld bit isn’t.”
The shows story revolves around the day to day frustrations experienced by Warwick Davis. His character is an egomaniac dwarf who runs a talent agent for dwarves. As Gervais describes the show;
“Third in our trilogy of TV sitcoms, Life’s Too Short is another naturalist observational comedy, dealing with everyday problems, human foibles and social faux pas… but with a dwarf.”
The new BBC2 comedy is expected to have various cameo’s by big names. Gervais has co-written the sitcom with his longtime creative partner Stephen Merchant and they are both likely to cameo in the show themselves. “Life’s Too Short” will also air on HBO as a six episode series.
“True Grit” trio added to growing list of Golden Globes presenters

TrendPK.com: Joel and Ethan Coen’s “True Grit” will be well represented at Sunday’s 68tht Annual Golden Globes, even if it doesn’t win a single trophy.
That’s because “Grit” stars Jeff Bridges, Hailee Steinfeld and Matt Damon were confirmed as presenters on the GG’s official Twitter feed, which recently exploded with celebrity confirmations.
Robert Downey Jr., Kevin Spacey, Tina Fey, Julie Bowen, Kevin Bacon, Helen Mirren and Scarlett Johansson were just a few of the names added to a list that already included Robert Pattinson and Jennifer Lopez. So yes, as expected, the Globes will be a star-studded affair.
This year’s ceremony will be aired on NBC live on Sunday, Jan. 16, at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT. Once again, comedian Ricky Gervais will host the event, which celebrates the finest film and television outputs from 2010.

Ricky Gervais Show, HBO has a bit of artwork up on HBO depicting the three main characters of the upcoming animated The Ricky Gervais Show: Stephen Merchant, Ricky Gervais and Karl Pilkington. The three men have been recording podcasts for years. In the beginning the podcasts were free through iTunes, but when they became incredibly popular, iTunes started charging for them. Now there’s a TV series based on the antics of Karl, with commentary by Ricky and Stephen. I’m genuinely intrigued; I want to see more. But the premiere isn’t until February.
In the meantime, the new F/X animated comedy Archer premieres Thursday night at 10:00 p.m. ET. You may have guessed from the late timeslot that this cartoon is strictly for adults. You would be right. I’ve seen the first three episodes and they are 1) High-larious 2) Dirty as all get out and 3) Offensive to all races, creeds, sizes and sexes. My favorite line is, “Johnny Bench called.” You just have to see it.
