9 dead in Bannu highway mishap
BANNU: At least nine persons, including three women, lost their lives in a road accident on Indus Highway near Bannu district, TrendPK.com New reported Friday.
Another two sustained injuries in the mishap, sources said, informing that injured persons have been shifted to District Headquarters Hospital, Bannu.
Rescuers said that the accident took place due to broken highway road.
According to details, a passenger bus, bound to Peshawar from Karachi, met a head-on collision with a truck near Landi Jalander place on Indus Highway, resulting in killing nine persons including three women and leaving another two critically wounded.
Those killed could not be identified immediately, police sources said, adding that accident occurred due to broken highway road.
More investigations are underway, police sources added.
Woman among 6 killed in Karachi
As many as six people including a woman have been killed in separate incidents in Karachi, Dunya News reported on Wednesday.
A man shot dead his wife Mobeena (38) and servant Shah Wazeer (50) in Hussain Hazara Goth in the limits of Gulistan-e-Jauhar Police Station. One Amir Ali also got hurt in the same incident. The killer made good his escape. According to police domestic dispute might have caused the killings. Two people were mowed down in as many different incidents in Moach Gate area of the metropolitan. On the other hand, two men got killed while as many got hurt in a road accident in Sahfique Mor and Paracha Chowk at Sher Shah.
Sargodha: Two children among five died in accident
Two children among five died while another six sustained injuries in a road accident near Sargodha late on Saturday night.
According to sources, the accident took place as a speedy coach collided head-on with a truck.
The deceased include Ramzan, Muhammad Ali, Zubair, Aqsa, Fatima and Sami Ullah. The injured have been shifted to DHQ Hospital Sargodha, and Rurual health Centre Bhagatanwala.

Road Accident Accured In Fateh Jang 17 Killed
FATEH JANG: At least 17 commuters were killed and 40 others injured in a head-on collision between two buses near Fateh Jang.
The accident occurred early Friday at Fateh Jang-Kohat road when the driver of a Kohat-bound bus lost his control and rammed the vehicle into another bus coming from the opposite direction. The collision was as powerful as it completely destroyed the two vehicles.
Seventeen deaths have so far been confirmed in the accident while near 40 were injured who were rushed to district hospital and other nearby medical facilities where condition of many injured stated to be critical.

Road Accident In Shikarpur Five Family Member Died
SHIKARPUR: Five members of a family were killed during a road accident here early on Saturday.
Rescue efforts have been kicked off as hospital rescue teams and local people have arrived on the spot while injured and deceased persons have been moved to hospital, sources and witnesses said.

Road Accident in Jammu and Kashmir 20 killed
Jammu: At least 20 people were killed and 10 injured when the mini bus they were travelling in fell into the Chenab river in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir Monday morning, police said.
The accident occurred at about 9.00 am near Bandarkot village, about 240 km from here. Police said Army divers had started rescue operations.
