Why wasn’t Ash present for the ‘K.B.C.’ episode?

Imagine a show hosted by Amitabh Bachchan and featuring the star cast of ACTION REPLAYY. You’d expect Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to be a part of it, right? But Ash, who teams up with Akshay in ACTION REPLAYY, was absent for the KAUN BANEGA CROREPATI – ACTION REPLAYY episode. The star participants on K.B.C. included Akshay, Aditya Roy Kapur, Rannvijay, Vipul Shah with wife Shefali and Neha Dhupia. So why not Ash?
Rumours doing the rounds of the industry indicate that Ash didn’t want to be a part of the episode because the proceeds would be donated to a particular charitable trust. But Vipul Shah denies it, “It has been decided by the family Bachchans that neither Abhishek nor Ash would participate in K.B.C. Reason being people would assume that the presence of Bachchan Sr. as the host prompted them to win the booty. That’s why Ash didn’t participate for that particular episode.” Valid point!

Is ‘Blue’ director making his next with Akshay?

Rumours doing the rounds of the industry claim the director of BLUE, Anthony D’Souza, is planning to make an action film next, with Akshay Kumar heading the star cast of this film. Reportedly titled TAK DHANA DHAN, the film in question will be produced by Fox. But Tony as Anthony is affectionately called denies the rumour outright.
“I haven’t signed with any production house yet,” Tony clarifies, “I have merely signed a letter of intent with Fox to work on a project. I am still scripting my next film and a long way off from completing the script and thinking of actors.” Tony also denies that the film is called TAK DHANA DHAN “haven’t thought of the title yet”, but he does confirm that the film will be an action fare.
Tusshar denies Ekta & he have parted ways professionally

Has Tusshar Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor decided to part ways professionally? At least that’s what a section of the media would like us to believe. Reportedly, Tusshar has floated his production company and is planning to make films independently. But the actor denies it outright. “I have no immediate plans to start a film or float a production company,” he says.
So how did this rumour originate? “It all started when a journo asked if I would like to turn producer some day and I said, yes, why not? The next thing I know, rumours that I am branching out independently have started doing the rounds of the industry. There’s no truth to it, please,” Tusshar says. Okay, noted!
Hrithik – Priyanka teamed for ‘Agneepath’ remake?

While on Karan Johar, the other news doing the rounds is that has he finalized the cast of AGNEEPATH remake. Again, a section of the media seems to have finalized the cast of the film – Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra – but the fact is, no actors have been confirmed yet. Nor has anyone signed on the dotted line yet.
Also, the news that Karan Johar has started work on his next film, after MY NAME IS KHAN, is unfounded, since Karan is still clueless about what he wants to make next.

Activision has filed a countersuit against former Infinity Ward executives Jason West and Vince Zampella, alleging the duo “morphed from valued, responsible executives into insubordinate and self-serving schemers.”
In a complaint sent to USA TODAY by Sitrick and Company, a PR firm representing the publisher in legal matters, Activision is countersuing for breach of contract. The suit was filed Thursday in Los Angeles County Superior Court.
In a separate statement, Activision says the lawsuit shows justification for their decision to fire West and Zampella in early March.
“Activision’s cross-complaint filed today against Jason West and Vince Zampella makes clear that the company did not arrive at its decision to fire them lightly or without good reason. It further shows Activision was forced to sever the relationship when it became apparent that long-standing attempts failed to convince West and Zampella to conform their conduct to what was required of them by their contracts, company policies and as fiduciaries,” reads the publisher’s full statement.
In the complaint, Activision accuses West and Zampella of taking a secret trip by private jet to Northern California to “meet with the most senior executives of Activision’s closest competitor.”
Although Activision does not specifically name the competitor, the largest publisher based in Northern California is Electronic Arts in Redwood City. EA works on rival military game franchises Battlefield and Medal of Honor.
The countersuit also claims West and Zampella tried to stop Activision from giving additional compensation to Infinity Ward employees in order to make them “easier to poach” in the event the duo left the publisher to start their own company.
Activision is seeking to cease future payments to West and Zampella as well as recoup some of the money already distributed. The publisher also wants to prohibit the pair from soliciting Activision employees.
“West and Zampella’s misdeeds formed an unlawful pattern and practice of conduct that was designed to steal the (Infinity Ward) studio, which is one of Activision’s most valuable assets, at the expense of Activision and its shareholders and for their own personal financial gain,” reads the Activision complaint.
In March, West and Zampella sued Activision for $36 million and the rights to all games bearing the Modern Warfare brand. The pair’s lawsuit accuses Activision of firing them to avoid dishing out royalty payments linked to the sales of Modern Warfare 2.
Prior to that lawsuit, Activision revealed West and Zampella had been removed from the studio, and a new business unit would be created to oversee the Call of Duty brand.
The Call of Duty franchise has been one of Activision’s most successful brands, with Modern Warfare 2 generating $1 billion in sales during its first months at retail.

One person President Obama will not be taking advice from? Sarah Palin. Especially on nuclear arms control.
“Last I checked, Sarah Palin’s not much of an expert on nuclear issues,” Obama told ABC News in declining to react to Palin’s criticism of his new nuclear weapons policy.
Palin, speaking in Minnesota Wednesday, ripped the White House’s declaration that it will not respond to conventional attacks with nukes.
“No administration in America’s history would, I think, ever have considered such a step that we just found out President Obama is supporting,” Palin said at a rally with Rep. Michelle Bachmann (R-Minn.) “It’s unbelievable. It’s like getting out there on a playground, a bunch of kids, getting ready to fight, and one of them says, ‘Go ahead, punch me in the face. I’m not going to retaliate. Do what you want to with me.’”
“No, it’s unacceptable,” Palin said. “This is another thing that the American public, the more that they find out, what is a part of this agenda, they are going to rise up and they are going to say ‘no more.’”
Bachmann and other members of the GOP have also been critical, and Obama did address their complaints, adding another dis of Palin.
“What I would say to them is that if the secretary of defense and the chairman of the Joints Chiefs of Staff are comfortable with it, I’m probably going to take my advice from them, and not from Sarah Palin,” Obama told George Stephanopolous.
