LAHORE: Referring to Musharraf as a spent cartridge, Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader Ahsan Iqbal said that former military ruler Pervez Musharraf is making irresponsible statements to attract media and public attention.
In an exclusive chat with SAMAA today, he said the former president will be put on trial on his return to the country as his November 3 actions were not ratified by the parliament or judiciary.
Iqbal’s comments came hours after Musharraf’s interview where he termed PML-N chief Mian Nawaz Sharif a pro-Taliban leader.
Musharraf claimed he cannot be tried for sedition charges because all of his actions were validated both by the judiciary and parliament. SAMAA
Pakistan moves to drone technology
Lahore, Pakistan News :- State Minister for Defense Production Abdul Qayyum said that Pakistan has achieved drone technology and drones are being made with support of China.
Addressing the opening ceremony of F-22 Frigate in Karachi, he said that India is trying to destabilize Pakistan and solid proofs of Indian involvement in terrorist activities in Pakistan have been found. He said that Pakistan’s economy has been badly affected by the war on terror while terrorism in the country was result of Afghan war. He said that Mushharaf rule was the most corrupted one.
Pakistan has started building F-22 Frigate by Karachi Shipyard. According to ISPR, F-22 Frigate is the 4th ship which is being made with help of China under technology transfer agreement. Construction of F-22 locally will prove to be a landmark towards the independence of defense production.

Senior journalist Najeeb Ahmed passes away
KARACHI, Pakistan News : Former president of the Karachi Press Club and the senior journalist, Najeeb Ahmed, passed away Thursday morning.
He was born in 1961. He started his career by joining Jang Group in 1988 and remained there till his last breath.
He was given Presidential Award by former Pakistan president, Waseem Sajjad, for his courageous crime reporting.
Najeeb served as the president and secretary of PKC and Karachi Union of Journalist.
His funeral prayers are being offered today evening in Model Colony, Karachi. He left behind him three daughters and a son.
Several journalists rushed to his home after his sudden demise and were in shock.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Shazia Marree, Agha Siraj Durani, Jam Madad Ali and others have grieved over the sudden death of Najeeb Ahmed.

Wasim Akram called the hospitals ’slaughter houses’
LAHORE, Pakistan News : The entire nation should be united against the carelessness posed by the private hospitals and doctors, said the former captain of the Pakistani Cricket Team Wasim Akram in the standing committee meeting of health at the Parliament House Thursday.
Akram called the hospitals ’slaughter houses’ and said that one of them asked for $150,000 to send his wife to Singapore for her treatment.
He said he had to go through a very tough time when her wife needed treatment. She couldn’t be given proper treatment here, and hence, had to be flown in abroad for treatment.
Also, if a well-known personality like him could be harrassed so much, the ordinary masses would be worse off in their hands, he said.
Akram’s wife died on Oct 27, after succumbing to kidney and heart complications and was admitted to the Apollo Hospital, Chennai where she passed away.
He said that all those people affected by the doctors should contact him.
