LOS ANGELES: Actress Demi Moore is seeking professional help to treat “exhaustion” and “overall health” issues, her spokeswoman said on Tuesday, following her split late last year from husband of six years, Ashton Kutcher.
“Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health. She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends,” Moore’s spokeswoman said in a statement to Reuters.
The statement follows media reports that Moore was rushed to hospital on Monday night after paramedics were called to her Los Angeles home. Celebrity news website TMZ.com cited substance abuse as the cause, but that could not be confirmed.
Moore’s representatives declined any further comment beyond the written statement.
“Ghost” star Moore, 49, filed for divorce from 33-year-old “Two and A Half Men” actor Kutcher in November 2011, after a San Diego woman went public about a brief fling she had with Kutcher. AGENCIES
Sarah Palin won’t run for president in 2012
On Wednesday, the former vice-presidential candidate and the acknowledged star of the Republican Party Sarah Palin finally announced that she is not going to run for the presidency in 2012. A day before that another Republican hopeful, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie also announced his decision not to run.
The former Alaska governor’s supporters founded a group called Organize4Palin to build a grassroots network and essentially campaign for her: go to county meetings, stump for Palin with politically connected Iowans, and form a loose campaign structure for what they saw as an inevitable Palin campaign. It turned out not to be.
Sarah Palin made her decision known Wednesday releasing a statement to ABC News and telling radio host Mark Levin that she will not enter the presidential race. Wednesday evening she told Greta Van Susteren on Fox News that she “apologize(s) to those disappointed” with her decision saying that she had heard from them over the last few hours and hopes they understand “you don’t need a title to make a difference in this country.”
As the news broke that she would not run those supporters that were the most invested said they were “disappointed,” but had “no regrets.”
What is questionable, though, is whether the Republicans will be able to come up with an electable candidate. Until recently there seemed to be only too viable contenders – Mitt Romney and Rick Perry, with chances for Chris Christie to intervene and change the scene. After Christie’s decision not to run, one would suppose that the field has narrowed to two candidates. But then unexpectedly businessman and columnist, former chairman and CEO of Godfather’s Pizza Herman Cain made a strong showing at some Republican caucuses, and now he is considered to be on equals if not ahead of Rick Perry whose support has faltered.
The problem is that Republican primaries starting next January and the general elections in November are very different. And the candidate most liked by the party and Republican-leaning independents might not be as welcomed by the majority of general voters. Therefore, winning the party nomination may play a trick on the frontrunner preventing him from winning the votes of the center, which will inevitably determine the general outcome.
Perry, who has dropped in the polls recently following unimpressive debate performances, issued a statement calling Palin “a good friend, a great American and a true patriot. I respect her decision and know she will continue to be a strong voice for conservative values and needed change in Washington.”
The man who picked her as his running mate in 2008, Sen. John McCain of Arizona, said on Twitter that Palin will “continue to play an important role in our party and for our nation.”
Later, the former Alaska governor told Fox News Channel’s Greta Van Susteren, “You don’t need a title to make a difference in this country.”
Palin urged voters not to wait for perfection from the current Republican field of contenders.
“There is no one perfect candidate, and I want people to keep that in mind and not be extremely disappointed in a politician,” she said.

After much prayer and serious consideration, I have decided that I will not be seeking the 2012 GOP nomination for President of the United States. As always, my family comes first and obviously Todd and I put great consideration into family life before making this decision. When we serve, we devote ourselves to God, family and country. My decision maintains this order.
My decision is based upon a review of what common sense Conservatives and Independents have accomplished, especially over the last year. I believe that at this time I can be more effective in a decisive role to help elect other true public servants to office – from the nation’s governors to Congressional seats and the Presidency. We need to continue to actively and aggressively help those who will stop the “fundamental transformation” of our nation and instead seek the restoration of our greatness, our goodness and our constitutional republic based on the rule of law.
From the bottom of my heart I thank those who have supported me and defended my record throughout the years, and encouraged me to run for President. Know that by working together we can bring this country back – and as I’ve always said, one doesn’t need a title to help do it.
I will continue driving the discussion for freedom and free markets, including in the race for President where our candidates must embrace immediate action toward energy independence through domestic resource developments of conventional energy sources, along with renewables. We must reduce tax burdens and onerous regulations that kill American industry, and our candidates must always push to minimize government to strengthen the economy and allow the private sector to create jobs.
Those will be our priorities so Americans can be confident that a smaller, smarter government that is truly of the people, by the people, and for the people can better serve this most exceptional nation.
In the coming weeks I will help coordinate strategies to assist in replacing the President, re-taking the Senate, and maintaining the House.
Thank you again for all your support. Let’s unite to restore this country!
God bless America.

ANCHORAGE: Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski, stunned by a loss to a ‘Tea Party’ -backed insurgent in last month’s Republican primary, announced on Friday that she is mounting a write-in campaign to keep her seat.
“Today my friends, my campaign for Alaska’s future begins,” she told a crowd of supporters packing a lobby in Anchorage’s largest convention center. “I will be a candidate in November for the United States Senate seat that I hold now.”
Murkowski, despite being considered the overwhelming favorite in pre-primary polls, narrowly lost to Fairbanks attorney Joe Miller in the Aug. 24 primary.
Miller was backed by former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin and by the Tea Party Express. The California-based group put about $600,000 into Alaska advertisements to support Miller.

“Leave my family, leave people’s families alone…When it was Bill Clinton, you don’t go after Chelsea Clinton. You don’t talk about the Bush kids. Now, the minute they get into politics, that’s a different story. You leave the families alone.”
That was Glenn Beck talking with Sarah Palin, talking about how a reporter was getting to close to the Palin family at their Alaska home. Beck stood up for Palin, and said that a pundit should leave the families out of it.
Shortly after, Beck went after President Obama’s daughter, 11 year old Malia Obama.
On Beck’s radio show, not only did he insult Malia, but he mocked her too.
Here are some things Beck said on his radio show. A full transcription can be found on the Huffington Post.
BECK: (imitating Malia) Daddy? Daddy? Daddy, did you plug the hole yet? Daddy?
BECK: (imitating Malia) Why do you hate black people so much?
BECK: “Did you plug the hole yet, daddy?” Is that’s their — that’s the level of their education, that they’re coming to — they’re coming to daddy and saying ‘Daddy, did you plug the hole yet?’ ” Plug the hole!
BECK (imitating Malia) Why, why, why, why, do you still let the polar bears die? Daddy, why do you still let Sarah Palin destroy the environment? Why are — Daddy, why don’t you just put her in some sort of a camp?
Beck has since apologized for his remarks about Malia. To Beck’s credit, he did own up to his hypocrisy, saying “the children of public figures should be left on the sidelines. It was a stupid mistake and I apologize–and as a dad I should have known better.

Yes, incumbents are in danger from coast to coast. Yes. Arlen Specter’s effort to save his 30-year Senate career as a newly-minted Democrat by stressing his seniority did not work.
In this case however, “anti-incumbency” was not the full — or even primary (pun alert!) reason for his loss at the hands of Rep. Joe Sestak.
For Democrats, the case against Specter was encapsulated by an ad that showed Specter being praised by… George W. Bush in 2004, and showing Specter saying his party switch would enable him to win re-election.
Those images, coupled with a devastating tag line “Specter changed parties to save one job — his, not yours” said it all. Memo to Democrats — if you are running in a primary, and your opponent can link you to George W. bush, Sarah Palin, and Clarence Thomas, you are n trouble.here is something heartening about watching energized insurgents deliver a swift kick in the pant to the big shots. Kentucky ophthalmologist Rand Paul did in the GOP Senate primary, and Florida House Speaker Marco Rubio did it when he drove Gov. Charlie Crist out of the party and into an independent run for the Senate.

Hey babe, I need your advice. I have this event coming up, and, like, I’m wearing a, you know, a little black dress, and, like, I was wondering which shoes to wear. The stylist sent some pairs. Can you take a look and tell me what you think? Like, I sorta like these Mary Janes polka dot pair.

But there’s lots more. Can you wait? I’ll just put on the next ones. The woman enters from the walk-in closet.

How about these Chinese Laundry Alist black heels? The zipper’s, like, a nice touch, don’t you think?
Or, maybe, I sorta need a little color…

It took all of seven seconds for David Letterman to cut Rod Blagojevich off at the knees during the disgraced politician’s “Late Show” appearance last week.
The episode was a reminder of Letterman’s least appreciated skill. The monologue is fun, the “Top Ten” list an inspired creation, but often the best work on the “Late Show” comes when Letterman interviews the people invited to sit across from him.
Letterman rarely avoids or glosses over difficult subjects, drilling in with a journalist’s tenacity that he sometimes masks with a self-effacing attitude, and sometimes not. He uses humor to lighten a mood or make a specific point. His personality rarely allows him to conceal what he’s really thinking, setting him apart from
First-time Oscar nominee Peter Gabriel’s opting out of his performance at this year’s presentation. The star, up for best original song, decided not to sing WALL-E’s “Down to Earth” when he found out the song would be shortened to only 65 seconds.
“It’s a bit unfortunate because the songwriters, even though they’re a small part of the whole filmmaking process, we still work bloody hard and deserve a place in the ceremony as well,” Gabriel announced on his website. “I’m an old fart and it is not going to do me any harm to make a little protest, but I think for some of the other artists it is not so easy.”
The singer, 59, still plans to attend the show but hopes a gospel choir will take his place onstage.

Pamela Anderson : “Tattoos are like stories – they’re symbolic of the important moments in your life. Sitting down, talking about where you got each tattoo and what it symbolizes, is really beautiful.”
Pamela Anderson : “I am what I am and I’m a horrible liar. I can’t do it. I’m just very candid.”
Pamela Anderson : “There’s no way I set out to be a certain kind of symbol – the way I dress is the way I am, the way I live my life.”
Pamela Anderson : “I have this phobia: I don’t like mirrors. And I don’t watch myself on television. If anything comes on, I make them shut it off, or I leave the room.”

single source speakers

Sarah Palin has gained enough of a following that she can charge ridiculous sums of money for a speaking appearance. The high demand for Sarah Palin has rubbed off onto her daughter, Bristol Palin, who has just signed a deal with Single Source Speakers, guaranteeing her $15,000 to $30,000 per speech.
Bristol Palin is listed as “now available for special appearance” for Single Source Speakers.
Palin is available to speak at events about issues regarding abstinence, women’s rights, youth culture, and pro-life rallies. She is also available to speak at conferences, fundraisers, and special events/holidays.

Single Source Speakers is a relatively new firm. It’s other “big” name is Drew Brees.
The contradictions, as Bristol Palin’s pregnancy during the course of his mother without being married. Then she learned that her mother was also pregnant Sarah Palin during the campaign and wanted to hide the pregnancy not to destroy his political future.

After that jump to light, Sarah Palin made a statement announcing the pregnancy of her daughter and her marriage to Levi Johnston. After a few months of marriage they divorced.
Bristol Palin and her daughter Sarah Palin seems to have done better out of the White House.
