BAHAWALPUR: At least two people were killed and four others were injured in a firing incident outside a mosque in Bahawalpur, SAMAA learnt Saturday.
According to sources, people gathered outside a mosque after Fajr prayer in Satellite Town area of Bahwalpur, when a motorcyclist opened fire, killing two people and injuring four.
Rescue officials reached the spot immediately after the incident and shifted the injured to Victoria Hospital, Bahawalpur.
Local residents burnt tires in protest and chanted anti-police slogans. SAMAA
Two killed in Bahawalpur mosque firing
Unidentified persons entered into a mosque and opened fire, killing two people on the spot and injured 8 others.
According to police, three armed men opened indiscriminate fire after Fajar prayer in Satellite Town due to which two persons were killed. The injured were shifted to Victoria hospital where one injured is stated to be critical. Angry people staged protest outside the mosque and chanted slogans. DPO Babar Bakht said that the attackers seemed to be locals and would be arrested soon.
Brother kill two sisters suspected of adultery in Sargodha

SARGODHA: On suspicion of adultery, a brother has killed his two sisters with consecutive hits of an iron rod in Satellite Town, Sargodha, SAMAA reported on Sunday.
According to police, in Block-Z of Satellite Town, two sisters Samira and Tahira have been killed by their brother, Arsalan.
The father of the deceased girls has accepted that his son is involved in the brutal murder of both the sisters.
The local people said that one of the girls was married, and the accused killer brother suspected that both sisters were involved in illicit relations with two boys.
The police have moved the dead bodies of both the slain sisters to the district headquarters hospital, a case has been registered against the culprit. SAMAA

Local PPP leaders said their crops had been destroyed due to low water supply for the past six months.

GILGIT BALTISTAN: The local administration has declared next 24 hours crucial as the distance between lake level and spillway reducing swiftly, Geo News reported Friday.
Local administration said water level in Attabad Lake increasing sharply due to rain and coming 24 hours are crucial. Sporadic rain could halt helicopter service for the affectees, which multiplies the sufferings of the affectees.
Also, Karakoram Highway till Gilgit has been closed for indefinite period because of possible water spill from the lake. The closure disconnected land link between Hunza and Gilgit.
SHO among four policemen killed in Quetta shooting
QUETTA: Four policemen were gunned down in Satellite Town, Quetta on Friday, Geo News reported.
Police sources said armed men ambushed a police mobile at Saryab link Road killing SHO Satellite Town Abdul Khaliq on the spot, three other policemen Muhammad Akbar, Najeebullah and Nazir were seriously injured, which were succumbed to their injuries in Civil Hospital.
The law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area after the incident and initiate search of the culprits. However, the attackers were managed to flee from the scene.
Delay In Judges’ Restitution Biggest Mistake, Admits Gilani
Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has admitted that delay in judges’ restoration was his biggest mistake.
During an interview with a UK daily Financial Times, Gilani admitted that “I should have restored the judiciary in the beginning. That is my biggest mistake. Then we would have not wasted our energies on each other. It would have been better that we would have concentrated on the people of Pakistan”.
Enlisting the achievements of the incumbent government Gilani said, “The successes are that we have very ably completed two years with consensus in parliament. We did a lot of legislation. The biggest success is that we have gathered the whole nation together on one platform for fight against terrorism and that is the biggest victory ever. The other biggest victory is accommodating 2.5million IDPs to go back to their homes in the shortest possible time of three months”.
Replying to a question on US-Pak strategic dialogue the PM said, “We want to have a very meaningful and result-oriented meeting in the United States”.
On Afghanistan he said, “Pakistan is the only country which can help Afghanistan and you cannot achieve stability in Afghanistan without Pakistan.”
Quetta: Man Killed As Explosives Detonate In A House
A man was killed while several others injured when a blast took place at a house in Satellite Town, Quetta.
According to sources, the man killed in the blast was a terrorist and he was preparing explosive material in the house when it detonated.
Resultantly, the house was completely damaged in the blast.
2 US Drone Raids kill 10 in NWaziristan
MIRANSHAH, Pakistan News: In two US drone raids in Hamzoi and Maizer areas in North Waziristan tribal region at least 10 persons were killed.

US spy crafts after several hours overflights in the region fired eight missiles two separate places in the tribal region. In two raids at a house and a vehicle in Hamzoi five persons were killed and two injured.
A drone fired missile at a pickup in another raid at Maizer area killing five people on the spot.
The local people gathered at the place after the attack to collect bodies and the injured.
