Pak-India secretary-level talks on all issues
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and India home secretaries would hold talks on all issues including the Mumbai attacks.
Senior officials told that the talks slated March 28-29 in New Delhi would discuss besides terrorism, wide range of issues covering eight different subjects including swapping of prisoners, easing the visa facility, anti-drug measures etc.
The officials said that the schedule of the proposed Indian visit of Pakistan Judicial Commission would also be decided in these meetings.
Pakistan would be participating in the talks with open mind, official further said.
Big B and Sonakshi Sinha signed for Housefull 2?
The cast of Sajid Nadiadwala’s Housefull 2 directed by Sajid Khan seems to be getting bigger by the day. While it is known by now that the film stars Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, John Abraham, Asin, Jacqueline Fernandez, Chunky Pandey, Randhir and Rishi Kapoor, the maker have now managed a coup of sorts by signing none other than Amitabh Bachchan for a pivotal role in the film.
The buzz is that Big B’s dates are available only post July which has resulted in the schedule of Housefull 2 being a bit delayed. Besides Big B, the search for the third heroine also seems to have ended and the word doing the rounds is that it’s none other than Sonakshi Sinha who has bagged the plum role.
With a plethora of actors signed for this one, this ‘House’ is already getting ‘Full’ real fast.
Bobby Deol missing from Yamla Pagla Deewana promotions
2010 was not an easy year for Bobby Deol. And it looks like 2011 too will be specially taxing, what with the family film Yamla Pagla Deewana’s promotions clashing with the schedules of Anees Bazmee’s Thank You.
The Deol family, Dharmendra and his two sons Sunny and Bobby Deol had vowed to give all their time to the marketing and promotion of their family film Yamla Pagla Deewana. Alas, the Deols proposed. But Anees Bazmee disposed.
Earlier this week Dharmendra and Sunny Deol had to go without Bobby for a promotional tour to Nagpur. Bobby was dragged away to Bangkok for the shooting of Bazmee’s Thank You.
But the schedule of Bazmee’s Thank You couldn’t be put off.
Says a source, “Anees’ schedule for Thank You had already been disrupted twice. Once because of Bobby’s father-in-law’s death, they had to abruptly end a schedule in Canada. Then during another schedule Sonam fell ill. There was no way Anees could postpone the schedule any more. He has to complete another schedule of his other film Ready with Salman in March.”
Emotional to the core, Dharmendra and Sunny Deol are apparently hurt by Bobby’s absence from what is being seen as a family affair.
Yamla Pagla Deewana director Samir Karnik confirms, “Yes Bobby couldn’t be here for the promotion of this week. Dharamji and Sunny had to go to Nagpur without him. Bobby had to be in Bangkok for Thank You. Parivar kuch adhura lag raha tha. But never mind. Bobby has other commitments.”
Hope the Deols would also come around to feeling the same way.
Lahore CNG stations to remain closed for 12 hours a day
Lahore CNG stations would remain closed from 8am to 8pm from December 21 as per new schedule. And on Tuesday, CNG stations would remain totally shut.
According to notices issued to CNG stations by Sui Northern, orders have been issued to close CNG stations for 12 hours daily from 8am-8pm. While CNG stations will be closed for 24 hours on Tuesday. CNG Association has rejected the schedule and has decided to call emergency meeting within next two days in which future strategy would be chalked out.
Faisalabad: Three-day gas load shedding, 450 industrial units shut down
Once again, a three-day gas load shedding has begun in Faisalabad today due to which 450 industrial units have been shut down. Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has called a meeting on Monday regarding gas load shedding in industrial sector.
The meeting will be attended by Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, Federal Minister Naveed Qamar along with representatives of Sui Southern, Sui Northern and APTMA. Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Shairf has reservations upon the gas load shedding for industrial sector in Punjab. While on the other side, gas supply for all factories of Faisalabad region will remain suspended from 18th December till 20th December. The gas officials state that due to increasing demand of gas in Punjab, shortfall has increased and this schedule of suspending gas supply in factories for three days and CNG stations for two days will also continue in January.

Storro Bethany, a young woman made headlines a few weeks ago when a woman claimed that African Americans threw acid in her face, and leave them to recognize almost arrested in lie after sitting down with investigators.
Today, only a few weeks after the alleged attack, Bethany, is to admit that the whole stunt was a hoax and actually threw acid at her own. News that the incident was self-shock everyone but there is no word on what type of punishment they will face charges of lying.
The friends and family and community members sadness Bethany injuries since the accident and even the schedule for the collection of donations for her tomorrow. She also approached the Oprah show on her show to tell the world the story of her attack.

Flood-posing lake outpouring increases
HUNZA: The landslide-spurred Lake in Ata Abad rose by two feet, increasing a mediocre overflow from the spillway; however, the situation is wholly under control, Geo News reported Sunday.
Talking to Geo News, National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Chairman Lt-Gen (retd) Nadeem Ahmed said if the situation went out of control, the people would be apprised summarily.
He added the flood wave would be only 15-meter high when it headed for the Gilgit; however, the Gilgit management was all geared up with the complete arrangements to tackle any emergency situation.
The people in Shashkat were hugely panicked owing to the heavy landsliding the last night. Also, the people in Gilgit are highly concerned ever since they heard the reports about the overflow from the Spillway.
Deputy Controller Examinations Mir Tazeem Akhtar said that the schedule for the intermediate examinations had not been changed despite the hovering danger of a flood in Gilgit, Hunza and Gojal, adding all the exams would be held as per schedule.
