THATTA: A breach has taken place in the embankment at Tando Hafiz Shah area of Thatta and after nine hours’ efforts the officials have been failed to fill it while flood has submerged some areas of Jamshoro, SAMA reported on Sunday.
According to details, the Sindh Irrigation Department is unable to fill the RBOD embankment breach at KB Regulator near Tando Hafiz Shah.
The local elected members and the DCO of Thatta have expressed no confidence on the proficiency of the Sindh Irrigation Department.
A local member of the parliament, Abdul Waheed Soomro (MNA), talking to SAMAA, has said that during last nine hours, this is second breach which has appeared in RBOD embankment but the irrigation department has failed to fill it.

Power Supply Suspends In Diffrent Parts Of Country During Sehri
KARACHI, PAKISTAN: Despite government claims, electricity supply remained suspended at Sehri hours in different parts of the country, piling miseries on the people.
The federal government had announced no load shedding at Sehar and Iftar hours, but on the very first day of the holy month of Ramazan different cities and towns all across the country including Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi and Sukkur went through the irksome suspension of electricity at the Sehri hours.
Islamabad area I-10, Karachi’s Delhi Colony, Gulburg, Nohammad Ali Town, Kot Lakhpat and Sandra in Lahore, while many parts of Sukkur remained deluged in darkness causing inconvenience to the citizens in making arrangements for the Sehi on the first day of fasting month.
District Karak including North Waziristan and Parachanar also suffered the power outage during Sehri hours.

Fourteen Suicide Bombers Captured In Punjab
LAHORE, PAKISTAN: Law Enforcement Agencies (LEC) have claimed arresting at least fourteen alleged suicide bombers from across Punjab and have shifted them to unknown places for investigation, Geo news said on Saturday.
Intelligence sources said, the nabbed persons were identified as Hafiz Saeed, Abdul Aziz and Rana Irfan from Boraywala, Qari Abdul Ghani, Molvi Mushtaq and Molvi Ali Hassan from Jhang, Rasheed and two unknown Afghan nationals from Laiyya.
Apprehended afghan citizens would sell clothes on bicycle while heavy explosive materials and literature on Jihad was also seized from the possessions of those arrested from Chechavatni and Bhakkar namely, Flak Sher, Qari Mustafa including four others.
According to sources, the alleged suicide bombers were hailing from banned religious and terrorist outfits.

Nation Took First Sehri Of Ramazan
LAHORE, PAKISTAN: All people across Pakistan had special rrangements to take Sehri (morning meal), with religious zeal and fervor on the occasion of first fasting in the sacred month of Ramazan including Karachi and Lahore, Geo news exclusively reported on Sunday.
The hotels were crowded with many traditional dishes being served for the people while the mosques for Fajar prayers were also filled with people from every corner.
On the occasion of sighting the Ramazan crescent earlier on Saturday evening, people prayed for the security and prosperity of Pakistan and for the survival of the Muslim Ummah (nation) of the world meanwhile, the special arrangements were made for Taraveeh prayers in mosques throughout cities and villages here.
The Dholchi (drumbeaters) were out on the streets of Lahore at mid-night and kept beating drums aloud with a view to wake up people for Sehri preparations.
On the contrary to governments’ claims, many people had to suffer due to unabated loadshedding in Lahore during Sehri timings, sources said.
Hundreds of thousands of people saw first crescent of holy month of Ramazan here in Karachi on Saturday evening and extended congratulations to one another on the arrival of fasting and followed by offered Taraveeh prayers in congregation.
Special dishes are prepared in this month of Ramazan including, Sivaian, Khajla, Pheni as Sehri meals while Pakoray, Chaolay, Samosay, Fruitchat and Dahi Bhalay are special dishes eaten at the occasion of breaking fast in the evening.
