Pakistan Successfully Test Fires Ghauri Missileiu

ISLAMABAD, trendpk: Pakistan on Tuesday successfully test Ghauri Hatf V missile, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

According to ISPR, the missile is capable of carrying every kind of warheads and can hit the target in a range of 1300 kilometer.

President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and Army Chief General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani felicitated Pak forces on successfully testing the mid-range missile.

Military Backs Political Process: ISPR

News Trends: Pakistan armed forces would continue to support political process in the country within ambit of the constitution, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) spokesman said on Saturday.

In a statement released by ISPR, the spokesman said the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani respected the political leadership.

The COAS also valued political leaders, including PMLN chief Nawaz Sharif, added Major General Athar Abbas.

The statement went on to state the armed forces would continue to follow the policy of supporting political process within the boundaries of constitution.

PESHAWAR: All three terrorists who took two security men hostage have surrendered after a nine hour operation by security forces.

Spokesperson of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Major Athar Abbas, also confirmed the surrender of the terrorists.

The elite force was called early in the morning on information of terrorist presence in a building near the American consulate in the Cantonment area.

All roads were sealed during the operation.

Exchange of firing was reported from both sides, but no casualty has been reported.

All three terrorists of a banned outfit were already in the custody of the forces, but today at around 6:00am they snatched weapons from the security men, made them hostage and demanded the release of their aides.
