LAHORE: PPP Punjab leader Raja Riaz has blamed Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Sharif for today’s factory explosion in Lahore.
Interacting with journalist here on Monday, Riaz said it is unfortunate that Chief Minister Sharif is not attending the Punjab Assembly’s session despite promise of Rana Sanaullah and Speaker.
He said the Law Minister had assured that the chief minister would himself close the debate on drugs issue in the Punjab Assembly.
To a question, he said that how was a factory, which was sealed on paper, was running.
According to my information, the factory was allowed to start operation by Hamza Sharif, he added. TrendPK

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Syed Khurshid Shah on Monday blamed Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif for the deaths of more than 100 people in Lahore.
Speaking to newsmen in Lahore, Shah said Shahbaz Sharif is responsible for deaths of so many people due to contaminated drugs.
He said Shahbaz Sharif’s decision to keep 17 ministries himself is his lack of trust on members of provincial assembly. Nawaz Sharif too has realized this mistake, he said.
Information Minister Firdous Ashiq Awan said judicial commission comes into force when even a bee is killed in the centre. She said Punjab has objections to Drug Regulatory Authority.

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif today denounced the current federal government as the most corrupt in the country’s history
“The sooner we get rid of this government, the better it is for Pakistan,” said the chief minister while distributing free laptops among students at Punjab University.
Sharif said “Pakistan was dived into two parts in 1971, yet we did not take steps to improve the situation.”
He announced that his government would allocate 300, 000 free laptops in the next budget.
Five days on, police clueless about Shahbaz Taseer
Police failed to recover Shahbaz Taseer even five days after his abduction from Lahore.
Police was continuously conducting raids in various areas of Lahore for the recovery of Shahabz Taseer but could not get an obvious success.
Shahbaz Taseer, son of former Punjab governor Salman Taseer’s was abducted on Friday from the Gulberg area of Lahore by unidentified gunmen.
According to police, the abducted Taseer has not been taken out of Lahore city. The police were making sketches of the kidnappers with the help of eye-witnesses to trace the culprits.
Meanwhile, lawyers have announced to stage a protest rally in front of Lahore High Court today.
PPP activists protest against Taseer’s abduction
LAHORE: Following the anger of the leaders of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) over alleged negligence rendered by Punjab government in connection with kidnapping of Shahbaz Taseer, the son of former Punjab governor Salman Taseer, the PPP’s activists staged protest in Lahore, TrendPK reported Friday night.
According to details, political workers, hailing from PPP Lahore chapter, took to street and staged demonstration outside provincial assembly building against inefficiency of Punjab government over rendering negligence which led to likelihood of kidnapping of Taseer junior.
Agitators raised slogans against Shahbaz Sharif government, calling for immediate recovery of Shahbaz Taseer.
On the occasion, talking to media, provincial party leader Samiullah said none can anticipate any good from Punjab government, adding that instead of advising Sindh government, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif should ensure security of people dwelling in Lahore. TrendPK
Lahore: Police launch search operation for Shahbaz Taseers recovery
The search operation for Shahbaz Taseer’s recovery continued in different areas of Lahore during late hours of Friday while two detained persons were released after investigation.
According to the sources, a heavy contingent of police is launching search operation in Defence, Model Town, Gulberg and the adjacent areas.
Police are launching search operation on the basis of information by different sources; however, no breakthrough has been made so far.
Meanwhile, two suspected persons arrested from the crime scene were released after investigation and no information could be found from them.
On the other hand, DIG (Operations) Ghulam Mahmood Dogar, while, visiting Taseer’s family, disclosed that certain development has been made regarding the incident.
Dogar added that the details cannot be disclosed to the media yet as it is matter of somebody’s life and death.
Salman Taseers son kidnapped

Four men on motorbikes intercepted Shahbaz Taseer in his car in the Gulberg area and took him to a nearby street before whisking him away, police said, quoting witnesses.
“Shabhaz was out with a friend when four unidentified people kidnapped him,” his brother Sheryar Taseer told.
“Our family has been receiving threats from the Taliban and extremist groups,” he said, adding they could be behind the abduction. No one has yet claimed the responsibility.
The governor, Salman Taseer, of the ruling Pakistan People s Party, was killed by his own bodyguard early this year after he came out in support of a woman accused of committing blasphemy.
Asia Bibi, a Christian mother of four, was sentenced to death in a case stemming from a village dispute, putting Pakistan s harsh blasphemy law in the spotlight. Shahbaz Taseer s abduction is the second high-profile kidnapping in Lahore this month.
Police are still searching for an American aid expert who was kidnapped about two weeks ago.
Warren Weinstein, 70, the country director for J.E. Austin Associates Inc., had been working on a project in Pakistan s northwestern tribal areas where Pakistani troops have been battling Islamist insurgents for years.
Up to eight assailants kidnapped Weinstein in a pre-dawn raid on his house in Lahore on August 13.
Shahbaz opposes new provinces on ethnic basis
LAHORE: Punjab’s Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif says he is not against new provinces, adding they should be formed on administrative grounds.
Speaking to newsmen on his return from a private visit to London today, Sharif opposed the idea of creation of new provinces on the ethnic basis. He, however, supported the establishment of more provinces on administrative basis. TrendPK
Shahbaz to meet Gilani today
LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif’s meeting is expected today (Friday) with Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani where Shahbaz will inform his party’s decision.
Sources told TrendPK that PML-N leader will request PM Gilani for resignation of PPP ministers in Punjab.

Cyber crime wing: hacker of website of President of Pakistan arrested
Cyber crime wing has raided and arrested the hacker of the official website of the President of Pakistan, trendpk.Com reported on Monday. The wing has constituted a special committee for monitoring the hackers of official websites.
The cyber crime wing arrested a person named as Shahbaz from the area of Pindi Ghaip who hasd hacked the official website of President of Pakistan two days ago. Cyber crime wing has obtained a 3-day remand of Shahbaz and started investigations.
