Little League Base Ball World Series Scores 2009
The 16-team field is now set for the 2009 Little League Baseball World Series, to be played at Lamade Stadium in Williamsport, Pa., August 21-30.
The teams of 11- and 12-year-olds are divided into four pools of four teams each, with the first and second place teams in each pool advancing to the Semifinals on August 26-27. The International and U.S. Championship games are set for August 29, with the Consolation and World Series Championship Games set for August 30.
All 32 games of the World Series will be televised again this year. Thirteen World Series games will be televised on ESPN and 14 will be televised on ESPN2. In addition, the ESPN family of networks will carry all eight of the U.S. Regional Championship finals in the Little League Baseball division. The U.S. regional finals have been televised by ESPN and ESPN2 every year since 1997.

Fundraiser For IDPs Presided By Younus Kahan and Shahid Afiridi In UK
BIRMINGHAM: Pakistan cricket captain Younus Khan has said the people can play key role in seeking solution of the problems faced by a country.
Younus was addressing a press conference organized by a charity Islamic Relief.
Younus along with team colleague Shahid Afridi hosted a fundraiser under Islamic Relief for the victims of the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the Swat and Malakand region.
“No government can resolve the problems of a country all alone, so the people should play their role,” Younus said.
Shahid Afridi talking on the occasion said health and education are two major problems in Swat and Malakand region, and called the civil society to play its role in seeking solution of these problems.
Director Islamic Relief informed the cricketers about performance of the charity.
More than £135,000 was raised by the charity in the talk and dinner which will enable Digbeth-based Islamic Relief to help thousands of people who are returning home to the region to rebuild their lives.
Shahid Afridi and Younis Khan were visiting major UK cities in aid of Birmingham-based charity, Islamic Relief.
