US warned Pakistan of unstoppable consequences after foiled attack
Frustrated over Pakistans lackluster response to failed Times Square bombing, the United States has warned Islamabad that it will be unable to stop the consequences of any terror attack, whose wires are linked to that country, a new book has said.
Obama’s national security advisor James Jones delivered a warning in person to Pakistani President Asif Al Zardari just after the failed Times Square attack on May 1, according to journalist Bob Woodward in his new book.Jones left Zardari in no doubt that Obama would have been forced to strike back had the bomb gone off, despite the anti-terror alliance between the new nations, Woodward said, in the book Obama’s Wars. Obama sent Jones, Douglas Lute, his top White House aide on Pakistan and Afghanistan and CIA chief Leon Panetta to Islamabad after the failed attack for frank talks with Zardari and top Pakistani officials.
The president wants everyone in Pakistan to understand if such an attack connected to a Pakistani group is successful, there are some things even he would not be able to stop, Jones was quoted as telling Zardari. Just as there are political realities in Pakistan, there are political realities in the United States. No one will be able to stop the response and consequences. This is not a threat, just a statement of political fact, Woodward quoted Jones as saying, adding that the US official warned we are living on borrowed time.Woodward wrote that Zardari was told the United States could no longer accept Pakistan’s a la carte approach to going after some terror groups and not others, and said that Obama could be forced to do things that Pakistan would not like should an attack be successful.
The veteran Washington Post reporter did not say whether Zardari was told of any specific US actions that might have taken place. And he wrote that Jones did not reveal that one specific US response to a successful strike could have included a retribution campaign of bombing of up to 150 known terrorist safe havens inside Pakistan.At the time of the meeting, the United States and Pakistan released a joint statement, saying Jones and Panetta provided an update on the ongoing investigation into the Times Square terrorist incident.Jones praised Pakistan’s excellent cooperation and tremendous sacrifice in combating extremists, and both sides promised to intensify efforts to increase cooperation, the statement said.In June, Faisal Shahzad, a Pakistan-born US citizen pleaded guilty to the foiled attack on one of New York’s busiest landmarks, and warned the United States would face similar attacks in the future.US officials believe Shahzad had help from others within Pakistan and the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) group claimed responsibility for the plot.The TTP is based in Pakistan’s lawless tribal lands along the Afghan border and has been blamed for some of the deadliest suicide attacks in the nuclear-armed Pakistan.Pakistan acknowledged on July 26 that Shahzad had met the country’s Taliban commander and several other people.Woodward wrote that Obama wanted four things from Pakistan after the attack: full intelligence sharing, more cooperation on counterterrorism, fast approval of visas for US personnel and the sharing of airline passenger data.

imon Monjack has died. The late Brittany Murphy’s husband was found unconscious last night and pronounced dead soon after her mother called 911.
Law enforcement sources say Brittany’s mom, Sharon, discovered him around 9:30, unresponsive. Simon Monjack was pronounced dead after paramedics arrived.
He was just 39 years old.
No cause of death is known, however, local broadcasts cited law enforcement sources saying it appeared to be a heart attack. Detectives are investigating.
The LAPD was at the home now along with the coroner, and a death investigation is underway. Many more details are sure to follow as the story develops.
Simon Monjack, Brittany Murphy: So Hot
R.I.P. Simon Monjack and Brittany Murphy.
The similarities of the spouses’ deaths are chilling. Both were found unconscious by Sharon in the same room, possibly having succumbed to cardiac arrest.
Brittany Murphy died from cardiac arrest just five months ago on December 20. Despite being plagued by rumors of illegal drug use and eating disorders, her death was cause by pneumonia, an iron deficiency, anemia and multiple (prescription) drugs.
Strangely enough, two weeks before Brittany Murphy died, paramedics met the couple’s return flight from Puerto Rico at LAX and took Simon Monjack straight to the hospital because he was experiencing trouble breathing on board.

After weeks of noisy complaints about Facebook’s newest privacy issues, Mark Zuckerberg uses an op-ed in the Washington Post to reverse course and beg his users for forgiveness.
Hah! Not really.
Zuckerberg’s 528-word memo might seem contrite, but only if you skim quickly. Read closely, and you’ll see that it’s a classic non-apology — he’s sorry that Facebook “move[d] too fast”. That’s the kind of thing you say in a job interview if someone’s lazy enough to ask you to describe your biggest weakness — “Sometimes I try too hard”
The letter isn’t particularly apologetic — you won’t find words like “sorry”, “fault”, or “mistake”. Instead, it’s more of an acknowledgment that Facebook has heard the criticism and will be responding to it. Soon, Facebook will be rolling out a new set of simplified privacy controls and an easy way to “turn off all third-party services”. Here are some key quotes from Zuckerberg’s letter:
We have heard the feedback. There needs to be a simpler way to control your information. In the coming weeks, we will add privacy controls that are much simpler to use. We will also give you an easy way to turn off all third-party services. We are working hard to make these changes available as soon as possible.
The biggest message we have heard recently is that people want easier control over their information. Simply put, many of you thought our controls were too complex. Our intention was to give you lots of granular controls; but that may not have been what many of you wanted. We just missed the mark.
We have also heard that some people don’t understand how their personal information is used and worry that it is shared in ways they don’t want. I’d like to clear that up now. Many people choose to make some of their information visible to everyone so people they know can find them on Facebook. We already offer controls to limit the visibility of that information and we intend to make them even stronger.

Chesapeake Energy : One analyst said Morgan Stanley cut its classification Chesapeake Energy Corp. Monday, saying it is on track to achieve growth in production, but there are a few “company – a specific catalyst” that could move the share price.
In a research note to clients, and reduce the level of analyst Stephen Richardson Chesapeake to “equal weight” from “overweight.”
Chesapeake are on track to increase production by 8 percent to 10 percent this year, he said.
“The company is directed to high natural gas sector and the large stone 6 plays remain the main drivers of growth (Chesapeake) to move forward,” said Richardson.

Punjab, Sindh Water Sharing Formula In Jeopardy
The water sharing formula agreed by Punjab and Sindh is in jeopardy. Punjab government has submitted three applications to INDUS RIVER SYSTEM AUTHORITY (IRSA) for the release of water in the Chasma Jehlum Link Canal, however even after repeated request no water has been released into the canal.
The political and technical experts from Punjab and Sindh agreed on a formula for the division of water after several rounds of talks held in Karachi and Lahore. According to the formula both parties agreed that water would be divided on first come fist serve basis, while the other province would sacrifice its share of the water.
Punjab closed down the Link Canal during the last week of February in accordance with the agreement keeping in view the water requirements of Sindh, however now due to the opposition of Sindh, IRSA is not releasing the water in the canal.

The big Yankees pitcher hopped off the stage, disappeared from the view of the Fox cameras and quickly made a beeline for his father. You see the Yankees’ $200+ million payroll and it’s easy to get cynical. Same goes for their $1.5 billion new stadium, the seats that cost more than the average mortgage payment, the steroid controversies involving some of their team members and all the endless hype and hooey about mystique, aura and all the Yankee legends and ghosts.
But then you see this very simple and very real scene of a 24-year-old pitcher sharing the hug of a lifetime with his dad and you remember that those father-son relationships — one of the only things that really matter are at the very heart of this great game that we love.more info Yahoo

Scooby Doo the mystery begins, Tune into Cartoon Network at 7:00 p.m. ET to watch Scooby Doo: The Mystery Begins, a live-action movie to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Scooby Doo. The movie tells the story of how Mystery, Inc. began, including the adoption of Great Dane Scooby. I like the idea of celebrating the anniversary of this wonderful, kooky cartoon. But I think doing an animated movie or re-booting the franchise in a back-to-basics series would be a much better tribute than a live-action movie. Bleh.

4shared hacked By Unknown People
4shared hacked, File sharing website appears to have been hacked as when users try to access it they are redirected to another website called abcjardins.com/hacked and what could this possibly mean? Yeah, you got it right: 4shared was hacked.
About three months ago we’ve seen something similar happen to ImageShack, another sharing website, but if on 4shared users can share any files, on ImageShack users can share only pictures, photos, and images. At the moment it is unclear if the websites we’re hacked by the same people, or team.
ImageShack were hacked by members of the Anti-sec Movement who said that they fight against full-disclosure and that they’re looking to eradicate it. The Anti-sec Movement announced that ImageShack was just the first victim and that there are more to come as “this time everyone and everything is getting owned.”
The one thing that makes us think that 4shared was hacked by the Anti-sec Movement is that both ImageShack and 4shared are file sharing websites, but they don’t have a special picture now so at the moment it remains a mystery until someone asserts the job.
