Sarah Jane Dias and Neha Sharma signed for Kyaa Super Kool Hai Hum
Riteish Deshmukh and Tusshar Kapoor are back with the sequel of their 2005 super hit comedy Kyaa Kool Hai Hum, produced by Ekta Kapoor. The sequel is called Kyaa Super Kool Hai Hum and will be directed by Sachin Yardi, the writer of the original. Yesterday was the mahurat of the film.
Neha Sharma and Sarah Jane Dias have been finalised as the leading ladies opposite Tusshar and Riteish in the sequel. Both the actresses are one film old in Bollywood – Neha had earlier starred opposite Emraan Hashmi in Crook- It’s Good To Be Bad while Sarah was seen opposite Abhishek Bachchan in Game.
Confirming the news, CEO of Balaji Motion Pictures, Tanuj Garg, posted on his twitter page, “The stunning Neha Sharma & sexy Sarah Jane-Dias cast opposite at TusshKapoor & at Riteishd in our keenly awaited Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum – kskhh”
The film also stars Chunky Pandey.
Paanch all set to be revived
After being stuck in the cans for close to a decade, Anurag Kashyap’s debut film Paanch will finally see the light of the day. The film has been revived, its marketing and promotional plans are already in place and a date has already been finalized for its arrival in the first quarter of 2011.
Confirms Tutu Sharma, the film’s producer, “Yes, Paanch is finally releasing for sure. I have a rough date already in mind but I am not revealing it yet since all my energy is currently on my other film Tera Kya Hoga Johnny. However, there is a big and proper release already being put together to bring Paanch by March next year.”
When made around the year 2000, Paanch was stuck with Censors for long due to excessive violence, crude language, drug abuse and sexual undertones. There was a long battle fought and ultimately in 2002, it seemed that the film would release, what with its music album also hitting the stands. However, there was not much headway post that and it seemed that the film was forgotten for good, what with Sharma too going out of circulation.
“Despite a delay, I am not worried since Paanch is a timeless film and not really bound to any particular era”, Sharma maintains a brave stance here.
One believes though that he would be able to face Anurag Kashyap more confidently now. After all, the director of Dev D and Black Friday has expressed his displeasure quite clearly whenever questioned about the delay in the film and has openly blamed the producers for that.
“I totally agree with Anurag, if he blames the producers. After all, it was meant to be his debut film. However, there is something called destiny and it played truant here”, sighs Sharma, “Hopefully, now I would be able to complete the promise that I made to Anurag a decade back. He deserves that.”
