Rasheed urges people to rise up like India’s Hazare

KARACHI: Awami Muslim League (AML) leader Sheikh Rasheed has urged the people of Karachi to stand up like India’s Anna Hazare against the present system.

Interacting with newsmen at Karachi airport today, he said that MQM’s Karachi Card and PPP’ Sindh Card would go waste, warning Pakistan will sink, if Karachi sinks.

He said that army would not come in Karachi to eat biryani or nihari; it would come here set up military courts.

To a question, he said bureaucrats are thriving while people are vulnerable.

The nation, he said, looking toward skies for help.

“There should be no confusion. Political parties should make amends,” he said.

Responding to another question, the AML chief said that Karachi is the cleanest city, where there no terrorism in mosque. TrendPK

N should change its attitude towards govt: Sh Rasheed

Chief Awami Muslim League Sheikh Rasheed on Thursday warned PML-N against its stubborn attitude towards the government; otherwise President Zardari would make it suffer.
Talking to media at Karachi Airport, Rasheed said that MQM, Jamaat-e- Islami and PTI should also be merged into PML, saying that number really matters for the latter.
He said that none would dare to challenge the PML, if all its factions merged.

New NAB chairman is a good man: Pagaro

KARACHI: Chief of Pakistan Muslim League-Functional Pir Pagara said that the newly appointed chairman of National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Justice (retd.) Deedar Hussain is a good man.

After his meeting with Sheikh Rasheed on Saturday, he said that he will not visit London to meet PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif; all decisions would be held mutually on the platform of Muslim League coalition.

Pagara said that his party will not support the construction of Kalabagh Dam, “I will not support this project.”

Shiekh Rasheed said there is a possibility of a change in government within the next three months. “Muslim League guarantees democracy in the country.”

Raseed said that a committee has been formed to review the legal formalities of Muslim League’s block. SAMAA

Sheikh Rasheed: Reiterates For landslide Win On Feb 24

Awami Muslim League (AML) Chairman Sheikh Rasheed said that some forces are trying to transform Pakistan into Somalia and Ethiopia. Sheikh Rasheed was addressing from a procession in Liaqat Bagh, where he said that I have come to the gathering after praying at martyrdom spot Benazir Bhutto. He said the country has turned into a sandwich. Pakistan is confronted from multiple threats including NATO and India.
Sheikh Rasheed urged the government to advance the Missile Technology program. He also said that it is only due to Allaha’s help that he stands here. He said that general public is confronting many challenges including electricity, sui gas and security challenges. He repeated that AML would have a land slide win on February 24.

PML-N Responsible for Attack on Sheikh Rasheed: Shujaat

Pakistan News: PML-Q leader Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain said that it was conspired to kill Sheikh Rasheed, whereas the government was trying from more than two years to postpone the by-polls in Punjab.
Addressing a press conference in Lahore on Tuesday, Ch. Shujaat Hussain said that the government has failed completely to postpone the by-polls so for it changed the tactic this time. PML-N cannot bear defeat in Lahore and Rawalpindi after humiliating defeat in Swat and Manshera, he said adding that PML-N was the only party to be benefited from this attack. He suggested that PML-N should withdraw their candidate if they were not guilty. He said that PML-Q will strongly protest the postponement of by-elections.

EC Allots Electoral Signs to Candidates in NA-55

Pakistan News: The Election Commission has issued the final list of candidates for by-polls in NA-55, and also allotted electoral signs in this regard.
As per the final list, as many as 25 would vie for the seat including PML-N Shakil Awan, Awami Muslim League’s Sheikh Rasheed besides some independent candidates and others fielded by some other political parties. Shakil got lion while Sheikh Rasheed was allotted pen and inkpot. EC has made all the arrangements regarding the holding of by-polls in the said constituency.
