Kareena to launch ‘Bebo’ range of handbags
Just recently, Kareena Kapoor was appointed as the brand ambassador for Laive handbags. One thing that the company noticed is that since the leggy damsel was signed on, the sales picked up. In response to this sudden rise in sales, the company has decided to come up with a special edition of the bag.
The said special edition will be titled Bebo, after the actress’s nickname. Currently, the actress is in talks regarding the bag line. As there are multiple aspects that need to be considered like the selling and marketing as well as Kareena’s involvement including her remuneration. As for the clutches, they will be a high- end collection in gold, silver, beige and black and will bear her signature.

Winehouse kicks off comeback shows in Brazil

BRASILIA: She has been rarely seen on stage in recent years but Amy Winehouse took to the mic in South America last night to do what she does best.
The 27-year-old singer was looking healthier than ever as she took to the stage for the performance in Brazil.
Dressed in a pink and white gingham dress which a dipping neckline, Amy wore her hair in a ponytail and not her trademark bee-hive, appearing fresh faced with her signature liquid eyeliner in place.
The Back to Black singer belted out a number of tunes from her back collection and performed a number of covers at the Summer Soul Festival in Florianopolis.
But after a long break from performing the set did seem to take its toll on Amy, who had to take a moment to wipe the sweat from her nose, and interrupted a song to have a sip of water.

Sources close to us have confessed that they ‘tried their best to get the cat out of the bag’, and this is what they have told us; The most probable 13 contestants this year could be: Dimpy Mahajan, Sneha Ullal, Chunky Pandey, Sangeeta Bijlani, Avika Gor, Rajesh Khanna, Jackie Shroff, Manoj Tiwari, Sara Khan, Shaan, Shiney Ahuja, Shweta Tiwary, Simone Singh and Vinod Khanna. The toss is surely between Rajesh Khanna and Jackie Shroff.
There is also a buzz that singer Sukhwinder Singh and the international celebrity Pamela Anderson were approached (amongst many others) but they refused. Till the time the actual list is out, keep guessing!

I think she’s got a low level role on Gossip Girl and may still be riding off her Buffy money, but she’s still on fucking TV, she still writes she’s an Actor when she applies for credit cards, and apparently she doesn’t take that duty too seriously. HYDERABAD: The Sania-Shoaib wedding saga took an ugly turn on Friday as Ayesha’s father came out hard against the Pakistani cricketer, saying he had been cheated.
At a press conference, MA Siddiqui said the ‘nikahnama’ that had been produced before the media was genuine, having the stamp of the Qazi who conducted the wedding, the signature of the witnesses and of Shoaib himself.
Ayesha, who claims to have married Shoaib in 2002, went the whole hog today circulating copies of her nikahnama to Pakistani and Indian channels.
Siddiqi said he was against his daughter getting married in Pakistan due to strained relations between two neighborly countries.
The Malik family will regret this incident, he added, repeatedly saying that he had been cheated. Siddiqui threatened to sue Malik and also seek a fatwa against him from Ulemas.
“My daughter and Shoaib met in Dubai and entered into a correspondence. They ultimately married. But Shoaib kept torturing her over her weight,” he said.
Siddiqui said he did not want any money or any other benefit from the Maliks. “We just want a public divorce for my daughter or else we will take legal action against him,” he said.
“I wonder how he is marrying Sania now. We are not against Sania but we want things to end with Ayesha first.”
“My daughter wants a public divorce from Shoaib Malik, who is a liar,” he said.

The Philippines’ top fashion designers had a ball, dressing up the world’s most famous doll, as Barbie donned priceless couture pieces for a charity auction.
Ballet Philippines, a prestigious dance institution, auctioned 201 Barbie dolls and raised 1.5-million pesos (32,900 US dollars) for scholarships that will benefit underprivileged dancers.
Dozens of the country’s premiere designers created miniature versions of their signature looks, and what better model to have then tall, curvy Barbie who can look glamourous in any garb. The dress styles ranged from Hollywood glam to Mother Nature to Filipina senora.
The one-of-a-kind dolls came with hefty price tags. A doll in a black gown by designer Rajo Laurel embellished with a pearl and diamond brooch by Hans Brumann had an opening bid of 150,000 pesos (3,290 US dollars).

Ice Deposits Discovered At Moon’s Pole

The US space agency’s (Nasa) Mini-Sar experiment found more than 40 small craters containing water ice. But other compounds – such as hydrocarbons – are mixed up in lunar ice, according to new results from another lunar mission called LCROSS.
The findings were presented at a major planetary science conference in Texas.
The craters with ice range from 2km to 15km (one to nine miles) in diameter; how much there is depends on its thickness in each crater. But Nasa says the ice must be at least a couple of metres thick to give the signature seen by Chandrayaan-1.
Dr Paul Spudis, from the Lunar and Planetary Institute in Houston, estimated there was at least 600 million metric tonnes of water ice held within these impact craters.
The equivalent amount, expressed as rocket fuel, would be enough to launch one space shuttle per day for 2,200 years, he told journalists at the 41st Lunar and Planetary Science Conference.
What all these craters have in common are large areas of their interiors that never see sunlight. Temperatures in some of these permanently darkened craters can drop as low as 25 Kelvin (-248C; -415F) – colder than the surface of Pluto – allowing water ice to remain stable.
“It is mostly pure water ice,” said Dr Spudis, “it could be under a few tens of centimetres of dry regolith (lunar soil).” This protective layer of soil could prevent blocks of pure ice from vaporising even in some areas which are exposed to sunlight, he explained.
In February, President Barack Obama cancelled the programme designed to return Americans to the Moon by 2020.
However, Dr Spudis said: “Now we can say with a fair degree of confidence that a sustainable human presence on the Moon is possible. It’s possible using the resources we find there.”
“The results from these missions, that we have seen in the last few months, are totally revolutionising our view of the Moon.”
