Venus Williams easily won her opening match at the French Open on Sunday, beating Patty Schnyder with consecutive 6-3 victories. But it was not her performance that drew the most attention. Williams’ lacy black-and-red outfit, which gave “the illusion of being see-through” according to the AP, is the tennis star’s most talked-about on-court apparel choice since she wore a skimpy green uniform at the Australian Open in January. USA Today has a poll running, asking America what they think of the outfit. The No. 1 response: “They should have made her change,” with 42% of the vote. Had anyone watched the Madrid Open last week leading up to the French, they would have seen this coming: She wore the same dress, but in a different color. Maybe black is just too sexy for America.
Oh, and Venus won the match, 6-3, 6-3, but was less-than-dominating. Williams had 21 errors and threw in eight double faults. But she advanced and managed to piss off America’s delicate sensibilities, so a success all around.
In a game at the Sony Ericsson Open in March, Williams wore a red dress, spaghetti with few adorned with a flyer or flyers. Williams also had to assure the media that she would not command in the Australia Open in January, when he wore the same underwear.
As for the American tennis on Sunday? Williams rolled to a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Patty Schnyder, of Switzerland, ensuring that it has at least one more chance to dress to impress, while in Paris.

Everything that you saw in the show happened. Starting from the plane crash, moving through the smoke monster to the protection of the island and others. In simple words, all the flash forwards and flash backs of the show was in fact the reality and things that happened.
Confusing series right? That is what the producers wanted. Each character which died in the show in fact died in the real universe to be then transported to a single point in purgatory. The final aim was the after life, so everyone had to die to reach that point including those who managed to escape the island.

Brittany Murphy’s Husband Found Dead in Hollywood Hills Home
Simon Monjack, the controversial widower of Brittany Murphy, was found dead early this morning in his Los Angeles home. He was 40. Not much is known about the circumstances beyond their eerie similarities to Murphy’s own death five months ago — right down to the cause of death in the same bedroom in the same house.
According to police, the scene was not so unlike the one they’d discovered back on Dec. 20 of last year: Murphy’s mother Sharon discovered Monjack unconscious in the master bedroom of their Hollywood Hills residence around 9:30. She called 911; paramedics’ resuscitation efforts failed shortly thereafter, and Monjack was pronounced dead at the scene. Cardiac arrest has emerged as the unofficial cause of death as the case moves forward to the coroner’s office..
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a 911 call for an “unspecified medical aid request,” at 2.30pm (AEST) yesterday, according to spokesman Brian Humphrey.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that Murphy’s mother, Sharon, found Monjack unconscious in the master bedroom.
Paramedics attempted to resuscitate the 39-year-old on arrival, but he passed away from cardiac arrest, The Sun reported.
No illegal drugs were found in the house, according to Los Angeles County Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter.
Murphy – who starred in Clueless, 8 Mile and Girl, Interrupted – died aged 32 from pneumonia and a drug overdose of prescription painkiller Vicodin on December 20, 2009, a coroner’s office report said.
After her death, British-born Monjack blamed Hollywood, saying film bosses had “blood on their hands.”

LOS ANGELES: Actress Brittany Murphy’s death in December was accidental and the result of pneumonia, anemia and “multiple drug intoxication,” the
Los Angeles Coroner’s office said on Thursday.
Murphy, 32, the co-star of movies “Clueless” and “8 Mile” suffered a cardiac arrest on Dec. 20 in the bathroom of her Hollywood Hills home.
The coroner’s office said the drugs found in Murphy’s body were a mixture of prescription and over-the-counter medications. No illegal drugs were found.
The preliminary report ruled her death an accident, caused by drug intake. It said she had pneumonia and suffered from anemia caused by an iron deficiency. The full autopsy report will be issued in about two weeks time.
Murphy’s husband, British screenwriter Simon Monjack, said at the time that the actress had been suffering from laryngitis. Initial media speculation had focused on a possible eating disorder and rumors of cocaine use — both of which she had denied several years ago.
Photographs of Murphy’s last red carpet appearance in early December showed the actress in a sleeveless dress with rail-thin arms and legs.
In her career, Murphy starred in films like “Girl Interrupted” and “8 Mile” and worked with actors such as Michael Douglas, Ashton Kutcher, Eminem and Angelina Jolie.
But in more recent years, she worked mostly in low-budget movies.

According to reports, Brittany Murphy fired from an upcoming film that was shooting in Puerto Rico for being difficult on set and a detriment to production.
The former Clueless star has been dogged by reports that she was fired from The Caller, with reasons ranging from “she was difficult on set” to “her husband fought with the locals in Puerto Rico.” But while Murphy did leave the project, the 32-year-old’s publicist denied that the decision had anything to do with bad behaviour.
“The allegations currently circulating on the Internet about Brittany Murphy and her husband, Simon Monjack, read like a fictional plot from one of the 50 plus movies Ms. Murphy has successfully completed without incident,” the rep told OK! Magazine.
