BADIN: Women problems need to be tackled immediately on emergency basis; suggested a seminar on women rights held in Badin on Wednesday.
A local Non Governmental Organization (NGO) organized a seminar ‘Women Rights Awareness’ in Badin Gymkhana today. Women from across the district, including rural areas, participated in the seminar.
The speakers of seminar said that many laws on women rights had been made in the country but none of them is being followed.
The women participants of the seminar presented many suggestions for the solution of their problems and demanded for the implementation of the existing laws on women rights. Trend Pk

FC to act with permission of Balochistan govt: Zehri

QUETTA: Balochsitan’s Home Minister Mir Zafarullah Zehri on Wednesday said no issue could be resolved by use of force.
“Various challenges being faced by Balochistan can not be resolved by force,” he told newsmen at the Chief Minister House in Quetta.
He said that nobody could conquer this province and whatever happened here, would be allowed by the provincial government.
“Stick is of no use for the solution of any problem. We will not allow operation anywhere in the province.”
The Home Minister said that the Frontier Constabulary would only act with the consent of Balochistan Government. SAMAA
Blasts reported near Data Darbar
LAHORE: Three powerful explosions have been heard near Data Darbar, Geo News reported Thursday.
Police officer, bodyguard shot dead
KARACHI: SHO Brigade Nasir ul Hasan and his bodyguard Khurram Butt shot dead just after they came out of the police station in Lines Area. A passerby was also injured.
The deceased SHO had played a very active role during Karachi Operation in the 90s. Unidentified gunmen near German Hotel shot him.
All three of them were taken to hospital where SHO and his bodyguard succumbed to death, while the other man was said to be stable.
Mushahid seeks committee to resolve energy, economic crisis
KARACHI: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) has urged to constitute a committee for the resolution of economic and energy crisis.
Secretary General of PML-Q Mushahid Hussain while addressing a press conference here has demanded that committee should present the solution within 30 days. The government policies have dividing society.
Mushahid said some elements could pocket money of rental power projects but this not the case for Iranian power projects. He blamed that present government is ruling over the name and picture of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed and said that corruption had been increased in two years of present government.
5 Year Old British Boy Abducted For Ransom:Jhelum
Robbers have kidnapped a five-year-old British boy demanding a ransom of 100,000 pounds.
RPO Rawalpindi claimed that the kidnappers would be traced in next forty eight hours. The British High Commission has requested the Pakistani authorities to fully cooperate in order to ensure the safe release of the boy.
Police blamed a kidnapping gang for the abduction and said they had launched a full-scale investigation to recover the child.
Police Violence Case Supreme Court:calls Advocate General On March 11
In the hearing of police violence suo moto notice in the Supreme Court, Advocate General Punjab has been called on March 11. Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry in his remarks said that police brutality in Bhawana shows that law of jungle prevails in the country. During the hearing in SC Peshawar Registry, CJP ordered Punjab government to present complete inquiry report of the incident in the court on March 11. He said that reports of incidents shown by media will help eradicate this kind of crimes. He said that suspension of police officials is not the solution, proper action should be taken against the accused policemen. The court will hear this case on March 11.
