ISLAMABAD: While commenting on last night’s unrest in the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani said that the conspiracy to create a judiciary-government clash will not succeed.
A statement issued by the Prime Minister says that the government respects the judiciary and that news about the reversal of judges restoration notification carry no truth at all.
The statement adds that leaders and workers of Pakistan Peoples Party have given their blood for the restoration of judiciary.
The Prime Minister added that some elements wish that institutes should not get stronger, but all of them will fail completely. SAMAA

ISLAMABAD: Top U.S. defence officials are concerned some elements of Pakistan’s main spy agency may be interacting improperly with the Taliban and other insurgent groups, a Pentagon spokesman said on Thursday.
Colonel David Lapan said Pakistani army chief, General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, himself a former spy chief, was aware of U.S. concerns about the military’s Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) agency and shared some of them.

KARACHI: Awami National Party (ANP) Sindh President Shahi Syed on Sunday alleged that some elements were exploiting the people of Hazara Division with backdoor financial help.

President Zardari Directs to Avoid Issuing Statements Against MQM

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan News: President Asif Ali Zardari has directed his party leaders not to issue statements against MQM.
MQM has demanded resignation of Sindh Interior Minister Zulifqar from the office on using derogatory words against the party leaders.
On the other hand, Sindh Information Minister Shazia Marri while talking to Dunya News said that MQM and PPP are committed to move ahead with reconciliatory process while some elements wanted to derail the democratic system but they could not be succeeded.
