Persistent Genital Arousal Disorder

Persistent genital arousal disorder (also known as permanent sexual arousal syndrome and PSA) has resulted in a spontaneous and persistent genital arousal, with or without orgasm or genital engorgement parts, not related to feelings of sexual desire. It was first documented by Dr. Sandra Leiblum in 2001, recently characterized as a distinct syndrome in medical literature. Some doctors use the term Persistent sexual arousal syndrome, with reference to the situation of women, while others believe syndrome priapism in men with the same disorder.In Above all, it is not related to hypersexuality, sometimes known as Nymphomania or satyriasis. Besides being a very rare condition is often unreported by the suffering that may be considered as shameful and embarrassing.

Physical arousal caused by this syndrome can be very intense and lasts a long time, days or weeks at a time. Orgasm can sometimes provide temporary relief, but within hours the symptoms return. Symptoms can be debilitating, preventing concentration on everyday tasks. Some situations, such as driving a car or train, vibrations from mobile phones, and even go to the toilet can aggravate the syndrome unbearably.
