As per details, a political worker Aqeel was targeted by unidentified miscreants near Shumail Homes, Malir. Tension spread in the area after the killing.
Muntazir Ali, an employee of a private bank, was shot dead near City Station. A man was shot dead in North Nazimabad. Police recovered a body from Miran Naka, Lyari.

KARACHI: A cargo plane crashed on late Saturday night after its take off in Karachi.
Police and rangers reached in the area soon after the crash.
Fire brigade, ambulances and other rescue teams rushed to the area.
Fire broke out in the area where the plane crashed.

In various areas of Karachi, three people got killed and two injured due to firing.
In the area of Korangi Zaman Town, Karachi, some unidentified people killed a young man by firing whose dead body was then shifted to Jinnah Hospital. The second incident of firing took place in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 13, where a 26 year old Imran was shot dead. Another person died due to firing in area of Choona Bhatti, Risala. A 13 year old Nazar-ul-Islam also got injured due to firing in the area of Docks; where as 15 year old Yousuf was also injured due to firing of unidentified people on Shah Wali Road.

Protest against expected Lyari operation

KARACHI: Thousands of people came out on the roads of Lyari chanting slogans against the expected operation in the area Wednesday.
Police and rangers have been deployed in various areas in Lyari, while rangers helicopters also took aerial views in the area in the evening.
Feeling the expected operation against criminals in the area, thousands people, including women and children, came from different areas of Lyari and held a demonstration against police and rangers.
While talking to SAMAA, the locals of Lyari said that their area is one of the peaceful areas of the city. They demanded that operation should be conducted in other areas of the city as well.
They also said that they are ready for a voluntary search operation in the area against criminals. SAMAA
North Waziristan: 6 killed in drone attack
In North Waziristan, 6 people including some foreigners and miscreants got killed in a US drone attack.
According to official sources, a US drone fired 6 missiles on a house and a car in the area of Sanzlai of Tehsil Ditta Khail, some 50 kilometers from Miranshah. As a result of this attack, 6 miscreants got killed. The US drone kept hovering over the area even after the attack. It is also known that 3 foreigners also got killed in this drone attack.
Construction of Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology stopped
Construction of Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology has been stopped on orders of PAF for it was started without any NOC. The Institute is being constructed parallel to PAF base, the reason why PAF has interrupted as the area is considered sensitive.
According to sources, a 4 billion PKR project to construct a 250-bed hospital was given to Allied Engineers. Punjab Govt., until now, has paid 500 million PKR to the construction company.
Secretary Health Punjab, Fawad Hassan was appointed Project Director of the Institute.
18 killed in two drone strikes in Waziristan
MIRANSHAH: Two separate drone strikes in one day in North and South Waziristan have killed 18 people, Geo News reported on Sunday.
According to sources, a US drone launched two missiles on a house in Tabi area, 4 kilometres off Miranshah at 9.30 pm Sunday, killing 4 people and hurting two others.
The missiles targeted Dargah Mandi village on the outskirts of Miranshah, the main town in North Waziristan.
Earlier, a US drone fired four missiles in Algad Area of Shaktoi, Sourth Waziristan, killing 14 people.
Unknown miscreants torch van in Gulshan-e-Iqbal
KARACHI: Unknown miscreants have set on fire a van near Disco Bakery in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Geo News reported Sunday.
The incident spread panic in the area where all shops and businesses were closed.
