PML-N seeks midterm elections if most MPs ineligible
ISLAMABAD: PML-N politician and Leader of the Opposition, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, has sought midterm elections if a larger number of parliamentarians became ineligible.
He was talking to media men today. There should not be by-elections if most lawmakers lost their membership due to fake degrees, he said.
Hamesh Khan, main accused of Rs 9 billion Punjab Bank loan scam was awarded medal on former Punjab Chief Minister”s recommendation, Nisar added.
PML-N Friday walked out of final voting on Finance Bill after Chaudhry Nisar, raised question on conduct of the government to incorporate recommendations by the opposition.
“Had it not been better if the government would have included opposition”s recommendations into the Finance Bill. It could become a national budget instead of the budget of the government,” he said on a point of order before leaving the House alongwith party members.
Nisar appreciated positive role of the opposition who he said, in spite of creating hurdles came out with positive and constructive proposals.
“We had no objection if the government desired to pass budget with consensus like previous year. But, no credit has been given to the opposition on their valuable suggestions,” he added.
He was critical of Finance Minister and demanded solutions for the problems from him.
