LAHORE: The three member fact finding committee of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday has presented the report regarding the issue of Zulqarnain Haider, wicketkeeper.
According to spokesman of PCB, the committee formed under supervision of the team manager, Intekhab Alam, has submitted a detailed report on Zulqarnain’s sudden disappearance from Dubai and departure to London.

FAISALABAD: Police have arrested a proclaimed offender from the house of Mian Asif Ajmal, the member of Punjab Assembly Friday.
According to the details, police were receiving complaints that a proclaimed offender is getting shelter in Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s house. Police conducted a raid on Friday evening and held Riaz and recovered weapons.

US drone attacks kill 8 in NWA: officials
MIRANSHAH: US drones fired a barrage of 18 missiles into a compound in country’s restive northwestern tribal belt early Tuesday, killing at least eight militants and injuring another five, security officials said.
The strike hit the Lawara Mandi area, located close to the border with Afghanistan in North Waziristan Agecny, which has become a bastion of Taliban and Al-Qaeda-linked militants.
“Five US drones fired 18 missiles, killing eight militants. They targeted a compound and vehicles parked outside the house,” one senior Pakistani security official told media on condition of anonymity.
“We fear the death toll may rise,” the official added. Local security officials also confirmed the details of the strike.

Euro zone finance ministers agreed unanimously at a Eurogroup teleconference on Sunday on how to help Greece if needed, Cyprus’ finance minister told reporters.
“We agreed on the specific way by which member states, with the IMF, will offer economic assistance to Greece if it asks,” Charilaos Stavrakis said.
Euro zone finance ministers met to detail how a safety net for debt-stricken Greece would work if it asks to trigger it.
“We have concluded both on the details, and the precise manner by which the aid would be activated,” Stavrakis said. “It was unanimous.”
Stavrakis declined to spell out the details of the deal.
“Certainly it is something positive for Greece, but the issue which remains is if Greece requests it,” he said.

Afghanistan Ready To Play Cricket In Pakistan
KARACHI PAKISTAN : Afghanistan are willing to help Pakistan by playing a series of one-day internationals (ODIs) and Twenty20 games in the neighbouring country, coach Kabir Khan said on Monday. Teams have been reluctant to tour Pakistan since six policemen and a driver were killed when militants attacked the Sri Lankan cricket squad’s bus in Lahore last year. Afghanistan coach Khan, a former Pakistan test player, told Reuters his team were hungry to play against top sides before the Twenty20 World Cup in the Caribbean starts on April 30.

Later this year Pakistan will play two ‘home’ tests against Australia in England.
Afghanistan won last month’s qualifying competition to book their place in the Twenty20 World Cup.
It will be their first appearance in a major ICC tournament.
“The way we have improved and the enthusiasm and talent I see in the side, I am confident this team is capable of upsetting any top team in the World Cup,” said Khan.
