Quetta: one killed in grenade attack
QUETTA: At least one man was killed and another injured in a hand grenade attack in Quetta on Sunday night, TrendPK reported.
According to details, the incident took place in Keli Aalmo area where unidentified miscreants hurled hand grenade at labourers working on a well, killing one man and injuring another.
The labourer killed in the attack was identified as Saheeb and was hailing from Sadiqabad, Punjab while the wounded was admitted to hospital.
Meanwhile, police said that the attack took place as labourers were fast asleep in a room when unidentified outlaws threw a hand grenade at them. TrendPK
MQM chief condoles death of party workers
In a press statement issued from London, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain condoled the death of Asif Ali, Muneer Ahmed and Muhammad Naeem with the bereaved families.
The MQM Rabita Comittee said that the incident was a conspiracy to deteriorate the Karachi peace. The Rabita Comittee also demanded the governor and the Sindh chief minister take notice of the killings and order the arrest of miscreants involved in the incident.

At least seven people were killed and several others were injured in a bomb explosion near the reception rally of Maulana Fazlur Rahman in Anbar area of Swabi on Wednesday.
According to News Trends, the bomb exploded moments after the convoy of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Ameer, Fazlur Rahman, passed through the area.
The law enforcement agencies have cordoned off area after the incident and the rescue workers started the rescue operations. The injured were shifted to the Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar.

SWAT: The roof of a house has collapsed in Buner, Swat, Trend Pk learnt Tuesday.
People were gathered for condolences in a house where a man died a day earlier, when suddenly the house’s roof collapsed, killing 14 women and injuring 14 others.
According to sources, a local resident of Buner, Arshad, died in a traffic accident a day earlier. His relatives and neighbors gathered for his funeral ceremony when all of a sudden, the roof of his house collapsed where women were sitting.
DPO Buner Falak Naz Khan said that 14 women have been killed in the incident and 14 are reported as injured. Relief work has started and the injured have been transferred to a nearby hospital. Trend Pk

MULTAN: Unknown men cut throats of six family members near Markaz-e-Abn-e-Qasim, Trend Pk reported Friday.
Three family members, Atif, 24, Tasleem, 20, and Gulshan Bibi died while three others are seriously injured.
Law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the area. Police have started an investigation into the matter. A case has been lodged against six people.
It is the result of family enmity, said police.
Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has taken the notice of the incident and directed the authorities to present report immediately.
Speedy bus kills boy in Faisalabad
A speedy bus crushed a student, killing him in Faisalabad on Wednesday. After the incident, angry people set the bus ablaze.
According to police, 17-year-old Zeeshan was crossing the road when bus collided with him. Rescue 1122 shifted in Allied Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Bus driver and other staff fled the scene. After the incident, angry students set the bus on fire.
Karachi: Shershah traders announce indefinite closure
Shershah Market of Karachi where unidentified armed men killed 12 people would not open today as traders of the market have announced to close the market indefinitely.
Traders had demanded the government to provide security which was not addressed. Shershah Scrap Market has more than 8,000 shops and hundreds of people are working there. Motor mechanics, electricians, plumbers and others used to buy scrap from the market but its closure is creating problems for them. Due to which, jobs of hundreds of people are at risk.
Karachi police has received a forensic report of arms used in firing at Shershah area. The police had sent bullets found from the market to the forensic laboratory. It is revealed in the report that four kind of arms were used in the incident in which 4 SMGs, 4 9MM and one 30-bore pistol were used. Statements of different were also recorded in the investigation of the incident.
John Abraham sentenced 15 days imprisonment
Jhootha Hi Sahi is just around the corner for release and news surfaces, that the lead actor John Abraham has been sentenced to 15 days imprisonment. The first thought is whether this is a publicity stunt or is this for real… Well, seems like its true.
In April 2006, John was involved in a road accident where he apparently rammed his bike into a cycle thus injuring two people. However, the actor who hurt himself in the incident took both the injured men to a hospital for medication.
The verdict for this case of rash and negligent driving was declared yesterday which sentenced John to 15 days simple imprisonment, along with a fine of Rs. 1500 considering his act of responsibility towards the two injured people. However, the actor acquired bail immediately and continued the promotions for his upcoming film.
