Cotton hits historic high

The international as well as the local cotton prices hit a record high, trendpk.Com reported on Sunday.
The local price of the commodity reached 10,000 rupees per 40 kg. After the international increase in prices, the local price of cotton also experienced an increase of 500 rupees. On the other hand per bale of cotton witnessed an increase of 100 rupees per 40 kg to become 4400 rupees.
According to the sources after the increase in the international price of the commodity, the Indian traders have refused to deliver the pledged quantity of the commodity on previous reduced rates. Consequently local markets are also witnessing an increase in the price of cotton.

Gold price up by Rs 450 per tola

Gold prices continued to rise in the local markets due to increase in international markets on Saturday. Silver prices also touched highest level in countrys history.According to the Sindh Sarafa Association, local gold prices surged to Rs 43,600 per tola with an increase of Rs 450 per tola whereas, the price of 10-gram increased to Rs 37,371, up by Rs 386. Silver price reached Rs 710 per tola.

Gold price continues upward rally

Gold prices continued to rise in the local as well as international markets on Thursday. Local prices surged to a record Rs 44,350 per tola.
According to the Sindh Sarafa Association, an increase of Rs 350 per tola was witnessed in the local markets today. Whereas, the price of 10-gram increased to Rs 38,014, up by Rs 300. Silver price has also started increasing and reached Rs 690 per tola.

Gold prices hit all time high in the local as well as international markets on Wednesday. Local prices surged to a record Rs 43,750 per tola.
According to the Sindh Sarafa Association, an increase of 325 rupees per tola was witnessed in the local markets today. Whereas, the price of 10-gram increased to Rs 37,478, up by Rs 278.

Cotton prices surge as international production decreases

Cotton prices stared increasing internationally after the news of lesser production than the total estimates. Per 40 kg price exceeded 8000 rupees in the New York cotton exchange.Local cotton prices also witnessed an increase after the international increase.Per 40 kg price of cotton went up by 100 rupees in the local markets to reach 7200 rupees in Punjab and 7300 in Sindh. A week ago, the international cotton prices were less than that of the local prices. However bullish trend was seen after the reports of reduced cotton production by American Agriculture Department.

Cotton prices experience an increase after the international prices go up. For the first time the international cotton price exceed that of the local price level.Cotton price in the local market go up by 100 rupees per 40 kg to reach 7100 in Punjab and 7200 in Sindh. Cotton prices had gone up by 4.5 cents per pound in New York market. According to the market sources, the recent increase in the commodity prices is due to increased purchases by the exporters.

Gold reaches Rs 43,700 per tola

Gold prices hit record high in the local as well as international markets on Thursday. Local prices surged to a record Rs43,700 per tola.
According to the Sindh Sarafa Association, an increase of 350 rupees per tola was witnessed in the local markets today. Whereas, the price of 10-gram gold rose by Rs 300 to reach Rs 37,457.
International markets witnessed an increase of more than $28 per ounce during the month of October.

Bearish trend prevails Asia

Bearish trend prevailed Asian stocks on Tuesday while decline in gold rates was also recorded.
Asia Pacific MSCI lost 0.4 percent, while Japans Nikkei Index shed 1.12 percent. Topix Index lost 0.86 percent and Shanghai Composite dropped 0.53 percent. Gold is down by $5 per ounce in the local markets.

PPP believes in reconciliatory approach: Badar

He said that all the political forces should work together according to prevailing conditions.

Badar said that PPP will win the local body elections in Punjab.

China coalmine blast leaves 15 dead: state media

BEIJING: Fifteen people have been killed in a coal mine blast in northern China, state media reported Saturday, in the latest accident to hit the notoriously dangerous industry.

The explosion happened at about 2:40 a.m (1840 GMT) at the Liugou coal mine near Linfen city in the northern province of Shanxi, the official news agency said, citing an official at the local coal mine safety bureau.
