Cut in oil price can help to inflation down

Brent crude fell as much as $5 to $98.74 a barrel, the lowest intraday price since February 8. It recovered to $103.14 by 7:05 a.m. EDT in volatile trade, but was still nearly $25 off an April peak above $127.
US crude fell $1.35 to $79.96 after touching $75.71, its lowest since September 2010. US crude s discount to Brent reached its deepest level ever at $23.76.
The decrease in oil price will help to bring inflation down as Pakistan’s oil imports stands about 35 percent of its total import.
According to market experts, after cut in US rating Federal Reserve can increase interest rate as 19 percent of Pakistan export goes to US.
JS Research says that US will not stop US aid but it will delay it.

KARACHI: The Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) has awarded tender for import of 100,000 metric tons sugar to the lowest bidder at $ 558 per metric ton CF.

Court extends Hameshs remand for 11 days
Lahore Accountability Court extended Hamesh Khans physical remand for another 11 days on Saturday.
Hamesh, who is the principal accused in Bank of Punjab money scam, was brought to the court in an armoured car. NAB contended in the court that more time is needed to grill the accused and as such the extension in remand was sought. Hamesh replied in negative when the court asked him whether he was abused.
The court extended the remand for another 11 days and adjourned the case till June 9.
PoL prices to be cut by Rs 1 to 7 from June 1st
The government would likely to cut the petroleum prices by Rs 1 to 7 per liter from June 7 as the commodity has got cheap in the international Gulf markets.
According to Petroleum Ministry, petrol prices are down by 8 percent, diesel 4 percent and kerosene oil by 5 percent.
Petrol is at the lowest of the previous five years and stands at $46 a barrel. OGRA has started considering to reduce the commodity prices, while the notification is likely to be out on May 31 in this regard.
