Punjab: Another 45 dengue patients reported
Surge in the number of dengue patients continued across the country as another 45 affectees have been brought to the hospitals in the last 24 hours in Punjab alone, Dunya News reported on Tuesday.
In the last 24 hours a staggering number of 183 patients have been tested positive for dengue fever, raising the total figure of dengue affected patients to a whopping 1,700.
Eleven more cases from cities other than Lahore have also been reported, pushing up the number of patients suffering from dengue fever to 1,359. Fumigation is underway across the country.

Over 60,000 IDPs arrive in Karachi
KARACHI: More than 60,000 Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) from flood-stricken areas of Sindh have arrived in Karachi for taking shelter in relief camps set up by the government.
Six more relief camps were set up in the city to accommodate the influx of IDPs from the flood-affected areas of interior Sindh.
The addition of new camps has raised the number of relief camps set up by the City District Government Karachi (CDGK) across the city 0to 47 while the figure of IDPs has exceeded 60000 after addition of 4000 new comers.

PU receives 30 more degrees
LAHORE: Higher Education Commission (HEC) sent 30 more degrees of parliament members to Punjab University for verification. Now the number of degrees sent for verification has been reached to 119.
According to Punjab University spokesman, university has sent back 217 degrees out of 314 to HEC after scrutiny. Eight degrees declared vague whereas the remaining degrees will be verify within a week time.
