Two Palestinians have been killed in a firing attack from Israeli forces in the Gaza border area.

There is still no let up in the Israeli torture on the innocent Palestinians in the occupied parts of their homeland.
Israeli forces spokesman said an Israeli had been injured due to firing by two suspected Palestinians, whereas both Palestinians were killed in retaliation.

SRINAGAR: Indian troops, in their continued acts of state terrorism, martyred 34 innocent people in October in occupied Kashmir.
According to data compiled by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, one civilian was killed in police custody.
These killings rendered two women widows and ten children orphans.
During the month, 324 people were critically injured when Indian police and troops used brute force, fired bullets and teargas shells against peaceful demonstrators in the occupied territory.

JERUSALEM: U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton warmly endorsed Israeli and Palestinian leaders on Wednesday ahead of negotiations to try to break a deadlock over Jewish settlement building in the occupied West Bank.
“This is the time, and these are the leaders,” Clinton said before she was to see Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, who resumed direct peace talks two weeks ago after a 20-month hiatus.
Saying the two were “getting down to business” and tackling the main issues of the six-decade conflict, Clinton gave no sign they were any closer to resolving the dispute over Jewish settlement building that threatens the U.S.-brokered talks.

SRINAGAR: In occupied Kashmir, APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, along with dozens of Hurriyet leaders and activists were arrested while leading a protest march towards the UN Military Observer Group headquarters, today.
According to Kashmir media service, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi, Nayeem Ahmad Khan and other leaders and activists were taken into custody near Tourist Centre Complex while proceeding towards the UNMOG in Sonawar area to denounce continued gross human rights violations by Indian troops in the occupied territory.
Arab League chief says Gaza siege must be ”broken”

RAFAH: Arab League chief Amr Mussa said during his first-ever visit to the Gaza Strip on Sunday that a four-year siege on the Hamas-run territory must be “broken.”
“This blockade which we are all here to confront must be broken and the position of the Arab League is clear,” Mussa said after Palestinian officials from several factions welcomed him at the Rafah border with Egypt.
“Not only the Arabs, but the entire world should stand with the Palestinian people against the siege of Gaza and what is happening in the occupied territories, especially east Jerusalem,” he said.
Three dead in Afghan suicide blast: official

KANDAHAR: A suicide bomb attack in southern Afghanistan early Sunday killed three people and injured seven others, a provincial official said.
The suicide bomber — on foot and wearing an explosives-packed vest — targeted a group of security guards as they stood in a bazaar, said the spokesman for the Zabul provincial government, Mohammad Jan Rasoulyar.
“The bomber exploded near them. Three people, including one security guard and two civilians were killed and seven others, all civilians, were injured,” he said.
Judicial crisis blocked resolution of Kashmir issue: Kasoori
LAHORE: Former foreign minister Khursheed Kasoori said that due to judicial crisis of 2007 Kashmir issue could not be solved.
He was speaking in a programme organized under ”Aman Ki Asha” initiative.
During Musharraf regime Pakistan and India were closed to resolve Kashmir dispute and both parties, Pakistan and India had agreed on a joint mechanism to settle the issue.
”Kashmiris demanded right of self-determination and withdrawal of all Indian forces from the occupied territory,” Kasoori said.
”Indian PM Manmohan was to visit Pakistan in late 2006 but Indian elections and judicial crisis in Pakistan sabotaged all efforts”.
It was also decided that the parties would not claim victories after the talks, Kasoori added.
Strike in held Kashmir against death penalty to two Kashmiris

SRINAGAR: In occupied Kashmir, a complete strike is being observed, today, against the death sentence, awarded to the two Kashmiris by an Indian court in a fake case.
Call for the strike has been given by the APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani. All the business centres and shopping malls are closed while the traffic is off the roads.
The occupation authorities have imposed undeclared curfew in several areas of Srinagar and banned people’s movement to prevent anti-India demonstrations. The troops have also cordoned off the exit and entry points of other town s and cities in the occupied territory.

At least six Palestinians were wounded during a confrontation in the occupied West Bank. Clashes between the Israeli forces and Palestinians have been reported in the West Bank as tensions remain high in Jerusalem.
Israeli security forces used shells of tear gas on the protesters. Tensions between Palestinians and Israeli forces have escalated in recent weeks following an Israeli government decision to include West Bank religious sites in a Jewish national heritage plan.
The announcement last week of Israeli plans for new settler homes near East Jerusalem, which the Palestinians want as the capital of their state, has also increased tensions.
Israel has beefed up security in and around Arab East Jerusalem, with border police manning the gates of the walled Old City.
Kashmir Observes Strike Against State Terrorism
SRINAGAR: In occupied Kashmir, a complete shutdown is being observed Saturday against the stepped up Indian state terrorism. Call for the shutdown has been given by the forum patronized by veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani.
All business establishments, government and semi-government offices, banks and courts are closed while the traffic is off the road.
The occupation authorities have imposed undeclared curfew in downtown areas of Srinagar and other cities of the occupied territory.
