BANGALORE: Australia were all out for 223 in their second innings, setting India a 207-run target to win the second and final test on Wednesday.
Resuming on 202 for seven, the last three Australian batsmen added 21 runs to their overnight score before losing their wickets inside the opening hour.
Zaheer Khan claimed two of the last three wickets to finish with figures of three for 41, while Shanthakumaran Sreesanth got the other. India lead the series 1-0. AGENCIES

KABUL: Afghanistan’s parliamentary election were marred by attacks before voting began Saturday in a poll the Taliban vowed to disrupt and that will be a crucial test for the credibility of the government and security forces.
A rocket fired by insurgents landed near the U.S. embassy and the headquarters of NATO-led forces in central Kabul about three hours before polls opened at 7 a.m. (0230 GMT), police spokesman Abdul Rahman said. There were no casualties or major damage.
The Taliban also attacked five polling stations in Badakhshan, Herat and Ghazni provinces, Rahman said. The stations had not yet opened and there were no casualties.
The Taliban have vowed to disrupt the poll and urged potential voters to stay at home even as President Hamid Karzai called on Afghans to come out to polling stations for what is their second chance to choose their own

Pakistan need 148 runs to win third Test

LONDON: Pakistan need 148 runs to win the third Test against England at the Oval after bowling England out for 222 in their second innings on Saturday.
But they were immediately put on the back foot when opener Yasir Hameed was out first ball.
Hameed edged James Anderson to second slip, where Graeme Swann needed two attempts to hold on to the chance and leave Pakistan 5 for 1 with captain Salman Butt coming to the crease.
Pakistan needed only four balls of the morning session to wrap up the England innings with Stuart Broad pulling Mohammad Aamer to mid-on to give the Pakistani bowler his fifth wicket of the innings.
Aamer’s figures of 5-52 were his best in Test cricket and gave Pakistan a real chance of pulling one Test back in the series.

Muralitharan clinches record 800th Test wicket
GALLE: Retiring world bowling record holder Muttiah Muralitharan of Sri Lanka reached the 800-wicket mark with his last delivery in Test cricket on Thursday.
The off-spinner, 38, had last man Pragyan Ojha caught at slip by Mahela Jayawardene to terminate India”s second innings after lunch on the final day of the first Test at the Galle International Stadium.
Muralitharan, who has more Test and one-day (515) wickets than any bowler in history, will retire from Test cricket after the match.
India, who were made to follow on 244 runs behind, were all out for 338 in their second knock.
Sri Lanka need 95 to win the Test and take the lead in the three-match series.
