Pakistan, IMF to discuss release of next tranche

KARACHI: Officials of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and Pakistan are due to meet on Wednesday in Islamabad to discuss the country’s performance for the release of the sixth tranche of a $11 billion IMF loan.
Policy level discussions will take place on Nov. 1-2, according to official sources.
The last review was completed in May and the review for the release of the sixth tranche has been delayed since August over several issues, such as an increase in power tariffs and the implementation of a reformed general sales tax (RGST).
The meetings are also likely to discuss the revised macro-economic targets after August’s devastating floods caused $9.7 billion in damages as well as any follow-up IMF programme.

Yeah, man. It was great to be out there. That’s what it’s about. That song really lets the listeners in on where I come from and how I grew up, and the video does that as well. I grew up doing those types of things. My grandfather had a small cattle farm, and I’m used to all that stuff and all the things that come with that.
Is that the farm you grew up on in the video?
Actually that was filmed on a farm about 45 minutes away north of Nashville in Springfield, Tenn. It’s a working farm up there, 1300 acres.
I’m impressed that the insurance people let you get away with using the chainsaw.
Aw, shoot. Hey, what they don’t know don’t hurt ‘em. Until they see the video. Then I tell them I won’t do it again until I do it again.
Because it was so personal, how much of a role did you play in the concept of the video?
I had a big part in that. They send you video treatments and you pick what you like the most, and that’s the one I really liked.

No, that was a farmhand’s truck who worked for that guy. We just used his truck. It is like some that I have driven. My grandpa had an old ’81 Ford he had almost till I graduated.

Miserable failure was a term that became an Internet meme when it appeared on search engines and linked to various Web pages. It was originally applied to . It was the Junction City housing boom that never was because of a population boom at Fort Riley that never happened.
“We didn’t expect some of the things that happened to us,” George Marcus, a Junction City general contractor said. “We have a miserable failure.”
Now Junction City is home to thousands of vacant housings lots and a massive housing development disaster.
“It’s ugly,” Marcus said.

Rachael Ray Fhm, Rachael Ray spoke to “Nightline” co-anchor Cynthia McFadden recently, and she defended (among other things) her decision to pose provocatively in lad mag FHM.
“I thought if I’m gutsy enough to do this, this is a good thing for everybody,” Ray said of being 35 and asked to pose in the magazine in 2003. “This is the everywoman, here she is. And I thought, what the heck? I asked my husband what he thought of it and he said, oh, kinda cool. And I did it and it was the most scared I’ve ever been and I wouldn’t change a thing. I’d do it again tomorrow.”
Ray also said her mother “remains furious” over her decision to participate in the shoot, and that she initially thought FHM stood for “Food and Home” not “For Him Magazine.”
In the interview, which airs tonight (Monday) at 11:35 ET ‘ “Nightline,” Ray also discusses the origin of her famous phrase “EVOO,” defends her endorsement deal with Dunkin’ Donuts, and explains that she is “not a chef.”

Jammu and Kashmir: Army troops today busted a hideout and recovered a cache of explosive and ammunition from it in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir.
On a tip off, troops of Rashtriya Rifles raided the hideout in Thee Margh forest belt of Gulabgarh belt, 140 km from here, police officials said.
The recoveries from the hideout included two AK magazines, three hand grenades, 18 detonators, four Chinese pistol rounds among other things.
