Malik denies Kazmi, Swati put on ECL
ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rehman Malik has contradicted media reports that names of sacked federal ministers, Hamid Saeed Kazmi and Azam Swati, have been put on exit control list (ECL).
“I have no knowledge about the freezing of bank accounts of Hamid Saeed Kazmi,” he told newsmen in Islamabad.
Malik said that one officer has been arrested from Karachi on charges of making fake passports.
He said that anti-corruption drive would continue.
The Interior Minister also praised SP Umar Hayat for arresting a Station House Officer (SHO) over corruption charges. TrendPK

MNA Khushbakht Shujaat and MPA Muqim Alam met the children at Khidmat Khalq camp set up at the bombed building.
A magic show was also held on this occasion.

KP govt to build stadium in all divisions: minister
PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sports Minister Syed Aqil Shah has said that steps are being taken to promote sports in the province.
“A sports stadium will be built in every division of Khyber Pakhtunkwa,” he told newsmen at “Meet the Press” here.
Shah expressed the desire to boost sporting culture in the province by building sports stadiums in all divisions.
He further said Abdul Wali Khan Sports Complex and Pakistan Sports Academy would be built in Charsadda and Mansehra respectively.

Younis Khan wants captaincy until World Cup 2011
Lahore, Pakistan : Younis Khan wants guarantees he will be Pakistan skipper until the 2011 World Cup.
Younis Kha quit the captaincy Tuesday, in protest at match-fixing allegations that saw him brought before a parliamentary standing committee on sports. The committee exonerated Pakistan of match-fixing during the recent Champions Trophy. “Younis Khan has placed a demand of captaining the side until World Cup 2011 if the PCB wants him to take back the resignation,” news reports said.
PCB chairman Ijaz Butt confirmed meeting Khan in the eastern city of Lahore on Thursday, but said there was no immediate resolution of Khan’s concerns. “Yes I met him today, but wait for couple of days,” Butt told newsmen, while making no comment on reports of Khan’s 2011 World Cup condition.
