“American Idol” sent Casey James back to Cool, Texas after the Top 3 results show. Actually, he probably has to stick around Los Angeles since the finale is next week, but it’s more fun to pretend like he’s amblin’ back to the Lonestar state.
The Top 3 results show was a whole lotta chitter-chatter. First we found out how the Idols feel, then we found out how the judges feel. Then we watched the hometown visits. Then a couple teenyboppers bopped around the stage.
But finally the results were upon us and, in no surprise, Casey James was sent home. He’s a talented contestant to be sure, but the Crystal-Lee finale has been coming for weeks now. We would’ve been more surprised if Casey had stayed.
So who you think wins it all next week, gang? Crystal or Lee? We can tell you that Crystal won the pre-taped coin toss — did she choose to go first or second?”Texas baby! Home sweet home!” Casey yelled as his plane touched down, stopping after disembarking to kiss the tarmac.
Between screaming girls and “Casey is hot” signs and people chasing his limo and a woman asking him to sing her dachshund, Casey seemed a little overwhelmed, exclaiming, “Holy f–k.” (Yes, it was bleeped.)
The most emotional part of his visit was returning to the hospital where doctors and nurses saved his life after a bad motorcycle accident six years ago. “I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for you guys,” he told them.

Islamabad, Pakistan:- A suicide attack near Kamra check post in Attock killed seven people including two security officials and injured 13 others on Friday morning.
DPO Attock Fakhar Sultan told Dunya News that the suicide attacker was riding on the motorcycle and blew him up when security forces stopped him at the check post. The forces have found the attacker’s head from the spot. The forces surrounded the area after the incident and the rescue activities were initiated. The injured have been shifted to the hospital and some of them are said to be in critical condition.

US Congress approves $680 billion defense budget

WASHINGTON, The US Congress’ both the houses have passed a 680-billion-dollar defense spending bill for fiscal year 2010 which sets tough new restrictions on military aid to Pakistan.
The US Senate voted 68-29 in favor of a 680-billion-dollar defense budget for fiscal year 2010, which sailed through the House of Representatives by a 281-146 margin on October 8 and will now go to President Barack Obama. The new restrictions imposed on Pakistan include efforts to track where US military hardware sent to Pakistan ends up, as well as a warning that US aid to Pakistan must not upset the balance of power in the region.
The legislation instructs the White House to send lawmakers a report every 180 days on progress toward long-term security and stability in Pakistan. The measure’s chief authors, Senators Robert Menendez and Bob Corker, praised Pakistan for its help routing extremists but said they wanted to be sure US military aid goes to fight the “war on terrorism.”
