High School Musical’s Golden Couple Splits Up! Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens Over

One of Hollywood’s golden teen couples has finally cut their ties. Yes folks, I’m talking about Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens here. Last Monday, news spread that the two have finally ended their three-year romantic involvement.

Efron, 23, and Hudgens 22 started going out when they were still filming Disney’s hit High School Musical. According to some sources, there is no dramatic reason behind the splitting of the two such as third parties. This is despite the pushes that Zac is receiving from friends advising him to ‘play the field’ while at his prime of his age and career. However, the handsome hunk proved to be more of the monogamist, saying that he is not really into that kind of thing.

So what is the reason behind the splitting up?

According to a close friend of the two, the two grew apart after being together for too long. There was a strain on their relationship after years of being a couple. Fortunately, both stars claimed that they are still friends and are still on good speaking terms.

Zac is currently filming his latest project The Lucky One in New Orleans while Vanessa is just wrapping up her own film Journey 2: The Mysterious Island in Hawaii.

But at the recent premiere of her new movie “Bandslam,” she looked very calm and was showing her fans that it wasn’t affecting her. Vanessa was embarrassed with the first incident, but she just seems to have taken it in her stride this time.
