Salman Khan’s ambitious plans to bring all the three Khan brothers together in a modernized remake of Manmohan Desai’s Amar Akbar Anthony has fallen through.

While most other problems of remaking such a popular film could be surmounted, the one hurdle that no one could find a way out of was to make Salman step into the Big B’s shoes without looking presumptuous.

The Khans and David Dhawan had planned to cast Arbaaz, Sohail and Salman as Amar (played originally by Vinod Khanna), Akbar (played by Rishi Kapoor in Desai’s film) and Anthony (played by the Big B). While re-casting the first two actors was a breeze, getting Salman to do the Big B’s role proved impossible.

Apparently, Salman himself begged off from the huge responsibility.

Admitting that the remake of Amar Akbar Anthony is now a dead project, David says, “It was just impossible to do it again. Can you imagine anyone else except Mr. Bachchan as Anthony Gonsalves? It’s role he has made his own for as long as time exists.”

With Amar Akbar Anthony shelved, the sequel to the 2007 blockbuster Partner is now being revived by the Khans in right earnestness.

A story idea has finally been cracked and Partner 2 is to go on the floors early next year in lieu of Amar Akbar Anthony.

Dhawan admits Partner 2 is on the way, “We’ve got an idea and we’re developing it. While the core cast of Salman and Govinda will remain all the other actors will change.”

Madhoo to feature in Hema Malini’s Tell Me Oh Khuda

cb365607b0adhoo1 Madhoo to feature in Hema Malinis Tell Me Oh Khuda

The very mention of the song ‘Dil Hai Chhota Sa…Chhoti Si Aasha’… not just brings absolute vivid memories about the scenic beauty that Mani Ratnam had enigmatically captured in his iconic film Roja, but also the image of a girl who was ‘innocence personified’. She was Madhoo, the very name who became an instant talk of the town and country, all thanks to her true-to-life performance in the said film.

For past few years, even though Madhoo was seen in a few small films, no one really took a note of it. But, it seems that actress is now all set to change this equation. She is making a grand comeback with Hema Malini’s much talked about film Tell Me Oh Khuda. Madhoo will be playing Vinod Khanna’s daughter-in-law, who is pregnant for the second time in the film. Her role is that of a Rajasthani woman who has to fight the bias against the girl child in the state.

It’ll be interesting to see if Madhoo manages to make an impact again in Bollywood with her aunt, Hema Malini’s, film, which is also a re-launch of sorts for Esha Deol.

Dil Bole Hadippa Review
Dil Bole Hadippa is yet another film from the YRF’s kitty based in Punjab. This too represents the stereotypical culture of Punjab with swaying yellow fields, flashy celebrations, desi lassi and chomping sugarcane.
The film is the story of one such village of Punjab located at the Wagah border that has its own cricket team and plays match with the local Pakistani team for the Aman cup and have been losing in a row from past eight years. The team’s owner (Anupam Kher) turns to his son Rohan (Shahid Kapur) who plays county cricket in England to take over as coach and the captain to strengthen the team. A village girl Veera (Rani Mukherjee) though works with a local theatre group in village, treasures an unusual dream of playing a cricket in the big league with the star cricketers Tendulkar and Dhoni. She gets an entry in the men cricket team by disguising herself as a man. Here comes the twist in the story, Veera Kaur becomes Veer Pratap Singh sporting a turban and a beard. And thus it bears out the purpose of Veera living with a nautanki company called Jigri Yaar Dance Company, adept at costumes and disguises.
Her journey in the cricket arena leads to lot of humor, romance and on and off manifests the spirit of India for the sport. It ensembles all the superhit ingredients of the Yash Raj films like situations evoking patriotism, feel of DDLJ and loud Punjabi dialogues like main ek Punjabi baap ka Punjabi beta hoon. In the climax, when Veera’s speech about allowing girls to dream freely will certainly move the audience. Unarguably, Rani is looking better than what she has in years and Shahid too looked dashing. The only two spoilsports in the sporty film are Sherlyn Chopra and Rakhi Sawant.
By the way DBH is the Punjabi version of the 2006 high school rom-com “She’s The Man’ in which a girl disguises herself as her brother to get in a soccer team.
Catch up DBH to see the fiery chemistry between first-time paired Bollywood ki rani Rani Mukherjee and Kamine star Shahid Kapoor.

Hindi Movie Wanted Review

24caf8b6ecreview Hindi Movie Wanted ReviewMovie Review :  Wanted (2009)
Cast: Salman Khan, Ayesha Takia, Mahesh Manjrekar, Prakash Raj
Director:  Prabhu Dheva

Music : Sajid Wajid

The word Masala film should have been made particularly for movies similar to Wanted that are prepared by means of every big screen element of song-n-dance, play, acting, fiction, reprisal & then excited up like tough South Indian Sambhar. For a difference this Sambhar flavors delicious since the pepperonis is in quantity. The tale is not innovative but is not tedious also, the humor is energetic but not pleasantry, the fight scenes are overstated but are easily persuasive however & the character is predictable not just as an performer but a leading actor.

What in fact obtains the chart of the movie downward is that following worshipping the hero all through, the peak makes him susceptible on customary alleged reasons of father’s bereavement or friend’s abduct. One can predict a twist kept for the pre high point much previous to it in fact appears. And on one occasion that is officially exposed, the movie walks towards an ordinary climax wherever the hero is set to end the bad character.

Yet, Salman Khan on his own builds watching Wanted valuable. He is original, healthy & in form, seems smashingly too-cool like never prior. In spite of the hardcore fight scene, his appearance gives off a blameless attraction. He bops with new vigor, kicks solemn butt & kills cruelly. Ayesha Takia is attractive & delightful. Mahesh Manjrekar as the lusting & malicious cop creates you hates each bit of his personality. Prakash Raj is humorous as global don Gani yet his personality is not mockery down to a cartoon. Vinod Khanna doesn’t get range further than one series.

The high-quality part of movie Wanted is that it is not affected & brings what it assures – time-pass popcorn leisure.

There are occasions when you mind a damn for nourishment & want to spoil in some delicious rubbish food. Wanted is now that recipe.
