Grammys are finally doing it right!

TrendPK.com: orget the nominees. This year, the Grammys are finally doing it right. It’s a celebration of the world of music. They’ve just announced a Beach Boys reunion with Brian Wilson, Al Jardine and Mike Love. Add to that performances from Paul McCartney, and Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. That would be enough. Dayenu! But of course Adele is performing, and so are hot new groups like Foster the People, The Civil Wars, and (less newish) Maroon 5.
Chris Brown is going to be incredible — it’s time to move on from his troubled past. Diana Ross, who gets a Lifetime Achievement Award on Saturday night, is a presenter. Carrie Underwood and Tony Bennett are performing together. The show sounds like it’s going to take five hours. But it will be worth it. There’s a rumor that Lady Gaga is opening the show. No word yet on Van Halen. LL Cool J is hosting. All they’re missing is Lana del Rey (just kidding!)

‘Jersey Shore’s’ Snooki, JWOWW have found a city to film in
TrendPK.com: ‘Jersey Shore’ stars Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Jenni “JWOWW” Farley are apparently all set to go with their spin-off as they have finally found a city to film in.
The two will reportedly be filming their spin-off in Jersey City after being turned away from Hoboken, states E! News. And the girls will apparently receive a warm welcome there.
“My view is the more people that see anything about Jersey City and see what we have in Jersey, the better it is for Jersey City,” Mayor Jerramiah Healy commented about the show filming there.
Production will allegedly begin this month.

Zac Efron wishes Demi Moore the best
TrendPK.com: Zac Efron is good friends with Demi Moore’s daughter Rumer Willis, so he is hoping that her mother heals during this difficult time.
Efron opened up recently about how the actress is doing during this hard time after her hospitalization that has sparked a lot of rumors, states UsMagazine.com. “It’s tough, but I think she’s all right … I know Demi is going through some personal stuff right now. I just wish her well. I hope she’s doing okay,” Efron commented.
It has been previously rumored that Moore was partying with Efron before things apparently got out of control.

Gina Carano to be honored at ActionFest

TrendPK.com: ActionFest has grown in size and stature over the years, attracting action-movie junkies to Asheville, N.C. to celebrate cinema’s general bad-assedness. This year’s event is scheduled for April 12-15, and they’ve just announced a very special guest that will help lure new attendees.
“Haywire” star Gina Carano will be the recipient of the inaugural Chick Norris Award at the 2012 festival. The prize, according to a release, honors the Best Female Action Star of the year, in a play off the attitude, spirit, athleticism and grit of Hollywood legend Chuck Norris, who was awarded ActionFest’s inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010.
“It is an incredible honor to be included in this event,” said Carano, a fixture of the MMA world who made a successful transition to action movies earlier this year.
“Chuck Norris has always been someone I respect and look up to. Being able to represent martial arts as a woman has been a blessing in my life and I am so intensely grateful to the people who have supported and shared this passion with me,” she continued.
Said ActionFest co-founder Aaron Norris: “An award to honor the work of women in action films is long overdue, and we’re honored to present the first Chick Norris Award to the astonishing Gina Carano, who I am a huge fan of. She has exploded on the movie scene with the magnificent Haywire. We know from very bruised and reliable sources that she’s as tough as they come—making her the perfect honoree for ActionFest.”
Even Chuck Norris weighed in, saying, “I am honored to have Gina Carano receive this award. My entire career has been blessed because martial arts allowed me to do what I love — make action movies. I cannot think of a better person than Gina for this honor, and I am proud that she is the first to receive this award. I highly respect her martial arts ability and she deserves all her accolades for Haywire. Watch out world, a star is born. A proven fighter and very tough action star is here to stay.”

Vin Diesel begins principal photography on “Riddick”

TrendPK.com: Anyone following Vin Diesel’s Facebook page knows that the “Fast Five” star has been hard at work prepping for the third Riddick film. Now, we’ve received word from the studio that principal photography has begin on the sci-fi thriller, with the crew working toward a 2013 release date.
Universal Pictures, One Race Films and Radar Pictures announced that “Riddick” will film in Montreal, with Diesel in the lead. He’ll reunite with writer/director David Twohy (“A Perfect Getaway”), and pick up where “The Chronicles of Riddick” left off.
From the release:
The infamous Riddick (Diesel) has been left for dead on a sun-scorched planet that appears to be lifeless. Soon, however, he finds himself fighting for survival against alien predators more lethal than any human he’s encountered. The only way off is for Riddick to activate an emergency beacon and alert mercenaries who rapidly descend to the planet in search of their bounty.
The first ship to arrive carries a new breed of merc, more lethal and violent, while the second is captained by a man whose pursuit of Riddick is more personal. With time running out and a storm on the horizon that no one could survive, his hunters won’t leave the planet without Riddick’s head as their trophy.
“Riddick” also sees the return of Karl Urban (“Star Trek,” “The Bourne Supremacy”) as Vaako and introduces to the series Jordi Molla (“Bad Boys II,” “Colombiana”) as Santana, the arrogant captain of the mercenary ship; Matt Nable (“Killer Elite”) as Boss Johns, a man looking for answers; Katee Sackhoff (TV’s “Battlestar Galactica”) as the Nordic mercenary Dahl; and Bokeem Woodbine (upcoming “Total Recall”) as bounty hunter Moss.
Rounding out the cast are Dave Bautista (“The Scorpion King 3: Battle for Redemption”), Conrad Pla (“Immortals”), Raoul Trujillo (“Apocalypto”), Nolan Funk (TV’s “Aliens in America”) and two-time Grammy Award-nominated singer Keri Hilson.

Taylor Momsen opens up about being restless in life
TrendPK.com: Former ‘Gossip Girl’ star and Pretty Reckless rocker Taylor Momsen has been busy since leaving the CW show, but that is just the way she likes it.
Momsen recently opened up to ‘FHM’ that she can’t ever settle down in life as all she wants to do right now is stay busy and working, states UsMagazine.com. “I’m completely neurotic, totally anxious and high-strung all the time. I sleep for about four hours a night, or day, really. I go to bed at 9 a.m., sleep for four hours, then get up and start the day again,” Momsen revealed.
And it seems all that time she is awake is time she is working: “To be honest, I don’t know what to do when I’m not working.”

Katy Perry to perform at Grammys for first U.S. performance after split
TrendPK.com: Katy Perry is getting back in the game after her split with Russell Brand was announced as it has been revealed that she will be performing at the Grammys this year.
Perry has reportedly been added to the list of performers as she will put on her first U.S. performance since her split with Brand, states UsMagazine.com. Perry is nominated for Record of the Year (“Firework”) and Best Pop Solo Performance.
Perry did perform at the Grammmys last year where she showed images from her wedding with Brand.

Natalie Portman reportedly producing a show for TV
TrendPK.com: Natalie Portman is apparently ready to take on a new challenge as she is reportedly going to be an executive producer for a new TV show.
She is reportedly attached as an executive producer for a show based on a 1978 novel by Judith Krantz called ‘Scruples’ that has been picked up by ABC, states Hollyscoop. The show is a one-hour drama that is described as a “sexy soap.”
The plot is reportedly about a socialite whose husband passes away which leads her into opening a boutique in Beverly Hills.

“The Hobbit” has dwarves and Bilbo in its latest photo

TrendPK.com: Before any journey, even an “Unexpected Journey,” there needs to be a feast.
In the latest photo from Peter Jackson’s upcoming “The Hobbit,” the dwarves recruited by Gandalf the Great (Ian McKellen) tower over Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman), suggesting just how much trouble our dear hobbit adventurer could be in for.
As opposed to other anticipated blockbusters, “The Hobbit” doesn’t hold back any of its marketing materials. We’ve seen great photos, a full trailer and on-set production diaries from Jackson, himself. (Check his Facebook page.)

Bradley Cooper, Zoe Saldana reportedly romantic at Sundance
TrendPK.com: Bradley Cooper and Zoe Saldana haven’t quite gone public with their rumored romance, but it seems they are finally spicing up Sundance a little.
While the two were allegedly not getting cozy while promoting their film, things have reportedly changed a little as the two were apparently caught kissing, states People. Cooper and Saldana were reportedly caught kissing by a fireplace and acting like a couple.
The two had previously been hanging out somewhat separately as he had his mom with him and she was with her sister.
