9 killed, 23 hurt in Ghotki tribal dispute

GHOTKI: Atleast seven people were killed and 23 injured in a tribal dispute in Ali Nawaz Sher village, Ghotki, said sources Thursday.

According to sources, an armed clash erupted between two tribes, Lund and Shar, in the Khenju area over motorbike snatching that has been continuing for five days.

Over one hundred members from Lund tribe attacked Ali Nawaz Sher village early in the morning, killed seven people of Shar tribe and injured 23. SAMAA

One dead as police fire at H-Kashmir protest

SRINAGAR: Indian police opened fire on Saturday to disperse thousands of people protesting against Indian rule in the held Kashmir, killing a child and wounding 25 demonstrators.

Fresh demonstrations broke out on Saturday, a day after four protesters were killed and 75 injured in daylong clashes between protesters and government forces.

A teenage boy was killed during Saturday clashes, said a doctor at a north Kashmir hospital.
