Punjab govt announces paddy crop prices

Lahore, Pakistan news :- The Punjab government announced the price of the paddy crop for this year Sunday.

Basmatic Super is set at Rs 1250 per 40 kg, other types of Basmati Rs 1000 per 40 kg and Irri-6 is Rs 600 per 40 kg.

The Provincial Minister for Agriculture Ahmed Ali Aulakh said that the farmers will get a good price of paddy crop this year due to government steps.

He said that this year 470,000 acres of land was cultivated for paddy, through which 340,000 tons of Basmati and other types are expected to be produced.

Aulakh said that this year 150 purchase centres have been formed for the farmers’ convenience and the Prime Minister has directed the PASCO to buy 1 million tons of Basmati and non-Basmati rice.

He said that now it is PASCO’s responsibility to make their purchases based on government’s instructions.

Islamabad Police prevents suicide blast

2abefe2cabblast Islamabad Police prevents suicide blastISLAMABAD, Pakistan News : The Islamabad police shot a suicide bomber at E-11 near the police check post at Margalla Road before he could blow himself up Sunday.

The suicide bomber dismounted a black double cabin car and shouted “Allah-u Akbar”, when the police shot him in the head and killed him.

The SHO, Altaf Khattak said that the bomb disposal squad was called just then which arrived immediately. They have defused the suicide jacket.

The driver of the car escaped and the Rawalpindi and Islamabad police is been alerted to look for him. The E-11 area has been cordoned off.

The Margalla Road is a sensitive area with a large residential area in its span and ending at the Red Zone.

He said that Afghanistan is totally under control of Indian government and intelligence agencies.

In an interview with a US channel, the former president said that Mulla Umar never lived in Pakistan. He said that Afghan government and intelligence agencies are doing propaganda against Pakistan. He said that he provided proofs of Indian intrusion in Afghanistan to everyone.

Pervez Musharraf said that he demanded drones from the US to kill Baitullah Mehsud but the US rejected the demand. He said that he strived hard to strengthen democracy in the country. He vowed to come back to Pakistan.
