Tyson in Saudia to perform Umrah
JEDDAH: Former boxing champion Mike Tyson, who converted to Islam while in jail in the 1990s, is visiting the Muslim holy cities of Mecca and Medina on pilgrimage.
Tyson, who was world heavyweight champion from 1986 to 1990, arrived on Friday in Medina for the Umrah.
From Medina he will travel on to Mecca and also plans to visit other Saudi cities, it reported.
Tyson, 44, converted to Islam while serving a 10-year prison sentence, later commuted to three years, for raping a US beauty queen in 1991.
After prison he attempted a comeback, but was never able to regain his title and finally gave up professional boxing in 2005.
Last January, he took part in a WWE Raw pro wrestling event in the United States.
undertaker died

On the latest 06/04/10 episode of WWE Smackdown, they ran the latest storyline that The Undertaker is dead. The show opened with the General Manager Theodore Long reporting that Undertaker had been found in a “vegetative state” during this Memorial Day weekend. It wasn’t from one too many drinks at JR’s BBQ, but instead from a vicious, heinous attack. Who was responsible? That’s unknown right now, but it provided the backdrop for his brother Kane to become the inquisitor throughout the show.
About 8 druid figures brought a coffin to ringside and set it up, then Kane emerged from backstage to give a eulogy of sorts, saying he didn’t expect we’d see his brother ever walk amongst them again. In the ring he delivered one of the more passionate, emotional speeches the Big Red Monster has
spoken. Years ago he used to use a special device to speak, but now he’s very clear in his words. He would find whoever put his brother out of commission and make them suffer, in eternal damnation. From there, GM Teddy Long set up a Battle Royal involving every member of the Smackdown roster, except the guys who will be in the Fatal 4-Way World Title PPV match (Swagger, Punk, Big Show). Rey Mysterio won it, eliminating the final opponent, Kane.

Linda McMahon, former WWE CEO and wife of wrestling legend Vince McMahon, is a Republican Senate candidate and stirring up some buzz today. She claims she fed the New York Times their current story about Democratic candidate Richard Blumenthal’s exaggerated Vietnam service,Apparently she claims a blog post on her website brought the information about her opponents military service to light, but she took the post down after handing the story off to the Times. The story was initially reported by Kevin Rennie, who has confirmed that the story was “fed to the paper by the Linda McMahon Senate campaign.”
The campaign of World Wrestling Entertainment co-founder Linda McMahon, who is seeking the Republican nomination to run against Blumenthal, is doing little to discourage suggestions it provided the sort of opposition research to The Times that is known around campaigns as an “oppo dump.”

Shawn McCoy, a McMahon spokesman, told POLITICO: “As we have researched Dick Blumenthal’s record, we’ve discovered some very troubling disparities between what he’s said and the facts. This is a serious blow to his credibility.”
Making the claim more explicitly, McMahon’s campaign website has re-posted, as an “In Case You Missed It,” a blog entry by Kevin Rennie of South Windsor, a lawyer and a former Republican state senator and representative:
Linda McMahon for Senate 2010 today announced that former U.S. Attorney for Connecticut Kevin O’Connor has given his support to Linda’s candidacy for U.S. Senate.
“Linda McMahon has proven herself an exceptionally strong, exciting and impressive candidate for U.S. Senate,” said former U.S. Attorney for Connecticut Kevin O’Connor. “I am supporting Linda because I believe her business experience and common sense approach to issues will bring a fresh – and much needed – perspective to policymaking in Washington.”

Menarche is the word of the day. Decades ago, I did not know the word menarche when the event occurred. Now I want young women (and older ones) to know the meaning of the word menarche when it’s most important.
I turned to Merriam-Webster for the definition of menarche:
menarche – the beginning of the menstrual function; especially : the first menstrual period of an individual.
Did you know the meaning of menarche? When menstruation started, it was typically referred to as your first period. Menarche sounds more ladylike to me. It also rolls off the tongue like Monarch, a butterfly, the transformation…
Words are beautiful.

It was a great and entertaining fight between Rey Mysterio and CM Punk. The two gave us a match with lots of twist and air acrobats that fans are wanting to see between this two. By the way this two WWE Superstars are battling for a Hair Match wherein ifCM Punk looses this match against Rey he will cut his hair.
After every WWE pay-per-view event, we’re supposed to be left with a feeling of satisfaction; as if all of our questions and concerns have been answered by the events that unfolded at the pay-per-view.
Unfortunately, this is rarely the case. All too often, we are left with more new questions than answers.
Sunday night’s Extreme Rules was no exception. Following the event there are plenty of important questions to be asked, but there is no doubt we learned plenty of things at the event as well.
Without any further ado, here are the ten things we learned at WWE’s Extreme Rules pay-per-view.
The result is CM Punk won against Rey Mysterio because when the time Rey is going to a 619 style an unknown fighter interrupt and slam Mysterio that referee never see that incident.

chris kanyon comes out

The news that Chris “Kanyon” Klucsarits is dead as of a day ago has set off many fans who are concerned over the constant deaths of pro wrestlers at young ages. In particular, there’s been many wrestling deaths at age 40 or younger including Klucsarits’ recent suicide in New York. Also with his recent death, searches have increased for the news of “Chris Kanyon comes out” in reference to Kanyon openly admitting he was gay.
Reportedly, shortly after he announced he was gay, he was released by his pro-wrestling employer, World Wrestling Entertainment. Kanyon cut a post-match promo in 2006 when he told a wrestling house show audience that WWE Chairman Vince McMahon released him because he was gay.
According to the Online World of Wrestling, Chris Kanyon comes out news was not the first news of an openly gay professional wrestler. Simon Sermon who wrestled in the AWA, NAWA and other circuits, is part of a DVD called “Changing Perceptions: Profile of an openly gay pro wrestler”, and is reportedly the first wrestler to openly come out with regards to his homosexuality. Kanyon was likely more well known in wrestling than Sermon, depending on which wrestling leagues were followed at the time. Many will claim that Chris Kanyon, who also wrestled as a character named “Mortis”, may have struggled with his identity throughout his wrestling career and it was wrestling that ultimately did him in.
While the reports of Chris Kanyon Klucsarits’ death has shocked many fans, some have tried to point the finger at his former employer. However, it was ultimately his choice to claim his life. It’s hard to blame WWE or pro-wrestling at this point, although you can surely add them to the list of issues Kanyon may have had to deal with. WWE puts its sports entertainers on a round-the-year schedule that is grueling and stressful on both the mind and body. In the instance of another wrestler who was part of a double-murder suicide, Chris Benoit, it was learned that internal issues were at play. Close friends to Klucsarits have indicated that he had threatened or discussed suicide before, and struggled with bipolar disorder as well as depression before his suicide.
