Pakistan: PM Gilani for Solving Kashmir, Other Disputes with India Through Talks, Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani said that the US should give aid under the government’s established system. He said that all issues including Kashmir and water dispute with India should be resolved through dialogues. Talking to US Congress delegation in Islamabad, PM Gilani said that US should provide Fulbright Scholarship along with 500 other scholarships to the victims of war against terrorism and Pakistani students and the US should release Dr. Afia Siddiqi as soon as possible. The PM stressed that the US should provide access to Pakistani products to its markets to strengthen the economy of the country and the US should encourage investment in different sectors of Pakistan. He said that the US should take Pakistan into confidence on Afghan policy. The US delegation while lauding the sacrifices of Pak security forces in the war against terrorism said that the US Congress would play its active role for the betterment of education, health and capabilities of Pak armed forces.

Pakistan: Terrorism To be Eradicated With Help of People: Gen. Kayani, Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani said that terrorists are targeting citizens because they can not fight with the security forces. He said that the menace of terrorism would be eliminated with the help of people. Addressing the Crops Commanders conference in Rawalpindi, he said that current terrorist attacks are cowardly acts and the terrorism can not demoralize the nation, instead commitment against terrorism would be strengthened. The Army Chief lauded the sacrifices of security forces in war against terrorism. Ongoing operation in South Waziristan was also discussed in the meeting.

SC Rejects Both Petitions of Dogar
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: SC Rejects Both Petitions of Dogar, Supreme Court has rejected two appeals of Justice (R) Abdul Hameed Dogar. Justice (R) Abdul Hameed Dogar filed two appeals in the Supreme Court. In first petition, he challenged the reinstatement of current judiciary under executive order and in the second petition, he appealed to review the decision of July 31 of the Supreme Court in which he was declared unconstitutional chief justice. Registrar office of the Supreme Court had returned the both applications with objections. Justice (R) Abudl Hameed Dogar filed petitions against those objections which were heard by Justice Ghulam Rabbani in his chamber. Advocate Naeem Bukhari followed the appeals of Justice (R) Dogar. Hearing of these appeals was completed yesterday while the reserved decision has been announced today; according to which both appeals have been rejected. Advocate Naeem Bukhari’s companion, lawyer Ijaz Janjua said that intra-court petitions would be filed against this decision.
