ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Interior Rehman Malik has challenged India of holding a debate on its investigations of Mumbai terrorist attacks.
Talking to newsmen here Friday, the federal minister asked India not to play ‘blame game’ on Mumbai attacks’ probe, saying that Pakistan should be given due time to carry out its own investigations in the attack in light of the dossiers given by India.
He said he was ready to hold a debate with Indian officials over the issue. He revealed that the DNA test reports of two of the suspected terrorists of Mumbai attacks handed over by India to Pakistan were found similar.
To a query, Malik said that Pakistan also wants to see the culprits of Samjhota Express blast being brought to justice.
The Minister said that India had refused to comply with Pakistan’s request of handing over more evidences into the Mumbai attacks citing the order of a local court in this regard. “Now they should also show respect to the verdicts of our courts,” he added.
Malik also termed India’s approach to US for Mumbai attacks investigations and to build pressure on Pakistan to act according to its demands as ‘needless’, saying that the people creating misunderstandings between Pakistan and India should be unveiled.
