Transporters increase intercity bus fares in NWFP
PESHAWAR, Pakistan News : Transporters in NWFP have increased fares after considerable increase in petroleum prices.
NWFP Public Transport Action Committee has announced an increase of 5 paisa per kilometer in the fares of intercity bus routes. The local transport fares have not increased.
According to transporter Haji Noor Mohammad, one-way fare from Peshawar to Islamabad will be Rs 190 after Rs 10 increase, fare from Peshawar to Ismail Khan will be Rs 320 after Rs 20 increase, fare for Bannu will be Rs 210 after Rs 10 increase, whereas fare for Faisalabad will be Rs 480 after increase of Rs 30.
People have strongly reacted on increase in intercity transport fares and demanded the government to immediately reduce the prices of petroleum products.
