Baghdad: Two Blasts in Baghdad, 30 killed, At least 30 people were killed and 40 wounded in two large explosions in central Baghdad.
The blasts occurred in quick succession, at 1030 local time (0730 GMT), followed by sporadic firing.
Police said the attacks targeted the provincial government building in Baghdad and the Ministry of Justice.
These are the biggest attacks since August, when two truck bombs struck two buildings of the ministries, correspondents say. Then, Iraq blamed foreign fighters.
Iraqi officials say the number of deaths and injuries is likely to increase.
Plumes of smoke was seen rising from the blast area.
