Two Train Collided Near Kotri Six Bogies Derailed
KOTRI: Up and down railway traffic on main national track came to a halt following a collision between two freight trains near Kotri here Thursday, reports ARY NEWS.
According to the channel, a Hyderabad-bound freight train loaded with oil drums rammed into a stopped goods train at main railway track near Kotri.
At least six bogies of first train were derailed and overturned following the collision, resulting seepage of oil at the accident site, the channel said.
Railway authorities have declared emergency after the accident in which two people were also wounded, according to reports.
Rangers have reached the scene and cordoned off the area to avoid any untoward situation as the leakage of oil might catch fire, railway officials said.
Up and down railway traffic on the main track has been suspended following the accident.
Railway Department’s emergency relief train has left for the accident site, while the railway officials have claimed to restore the traffic on the track in the next six hours.
